Go Hurricanes!

Last Friday, we woke up to a fun mess by the elves.  They somehow got a mini claw machine filled with candy! And it really worked well!
The six of us drove an hour South to see the University of Miami.  It was a warm but wet day.
There were a lot of kids there to tour the campus.  Amy and Aden watched the presentation.  I entertained Ariel and the twins.

We walked around.  It was quiet without the students.

Such a cool statue.

We had fun in the store.  If I were a Miami fan I would definitely get these sneakers.
We walked around more.

It was a pretty campus.  You can see the new dorms they are building in the distance.

This is the student center.
Nice view of campus from the top.

Then we drove the 10 minutes into downtown Miami.
We parked at Brickell City Center.  It was a huge indoor outdoor mall in the center of Miami.

We sadly did not really have time to shop.
I have cousins that live in Miami.  We met Steph, Jen and Jonathan at an Italian restaurant.
We had fun catching up.  I hadn't seen them in so many years.
So many condo buildings all around us.
Such a cool looking city.
Back into the mall to leave.

They have express lanes on 95.  We used them and it was great.  Look at the traffic on the regular lanes.
We had a quiet night.  Everyone was tired.  Have a great weekend!

Sprinkles on the Beach

Last Thursday, we went to the beach.  It was warm and cloudy.  Sometimes it sprinkled and sometimes the sun came through.  This is a cute pic of the kids.
The beach was pretty quiet.
Gwen and Eli wandered off.
We weren't allowed in the water.  There were riptides and scary looking jellyfish.

Pelicans!
My favorite!

Noah kept working on the Rubik's cube and he figured it out!  He can now solve it at will!

We had some toys with us.

It was fun but it's a lot of work to go to the beach.  10 chairs plus all the rest of the stuff.
Back to the pool.
Big iguana on that palm tree!
The sky cleared up!

We brought in good barbecue for dinner.
Then I went with Ariel to Mizner.  It was packed!  We found a new ice cream place.
Really cool bars.

Yum!

Ariel was too late for Kendra Scott.
I love Mizner.

Back to play games through the night.
