Storm Jonas

It's Sunday night.  We had a really lazy weekend.  We did not do much.  In fact, I slept most of the day today.  I heard it was warm but I had no energy to get out.  Everyone seems to be getting better, which is great.  Aden has a camp friend that's going to join him in hip hop class tomorrow night.  He's excited about that.  It's the kid's first Monday in 3 weeks!  It's going to be hard for everyone to get going tomorrow.  Anyway, back to the blizzard.  I woke up Sunday morning to these headlines:
I still find it funny the storm was named after my grandmother!
 #4 storm in history!
 I made waffles for everyone.

Then it was time to suit up and get outside.  The twins had bad colds so they were stuck inside.  I would have loved to have gotten pics of them in the snow.
Making our way to the neighbor's house.
It was not easy walking around.
 Snowball fight!

 That's a big one Ariel!
 That's not nice Aden!
 Someone got him.
 Aden with Benjy.
 Ariel with Winston.
They boys tried to make it to our swingset.
OK Ariel, time for us to go sledding!
I got the cars out of the garage.  They look so clean!  My guy did a lousy job plowing.
 My new tires worked great.
We drove to Sammy's house.  Bev said I should save this picture for their wedding montage.

I called someone to plow.  Todd tackled it himself.
The snow was a bit high!  Stay tuned for sledding...

Blizzard Day 1

It's Thursday night.  I'm watching Hollywood Week on American Idol and Amy is cleaning the kitchen and listening to Dr. Laura.  Pretty much a normal night around here.  At least all the kids are asleep.  It's hard to believe it's less than a week since the blizzard. A lot of the snow is already gone!  It's been sunny and above freezing every day.  I guess it was a waste to get the sidewalks shoveled.  Back to Saturday.  The snow started around 7 the night before.  It was a windy, loud night.  When we got up, I opened the door and was greeted by a winter wonderland.

We didn't do much most of the morning.  Just relaxed.  It was too awful to go outside and we were too lazy to do anything around the house.
Aden wanted to go next door to play with Ben.  He asked us to drive him!  I was like, uh, no way, you are walking.
This was early so there was only a few inches but the winds were nuts.

It was too hard to get to the front, so he headed for the back.
I threw him the frozen pizza he was going to bring and it blew right by him.  The poor thing is still buried out there somewhere.
Nothing much to do except eat.
 Everyone loves chocolate chip cookies.
I started a crock pot late in the morning and let it go all day.  It had bone in chicken, carrots and potatoes.  The sauce was soy and honey and a bunch of other spices.
 Chillin' with my homey.
 The dinner came out good!
It was time for Aden to come back.  I opened the garage door and was blown back from the wind and was just in shock in general at the amount of snow.
Here he comes!
He had a lot of trouble.
Later that night, we were watching the news and caught glimpses of Margate.  They didn't have as much snow but lots of flooding.  It was scary to see these streets so close to our shore houses under water.

Some silliness before bed.  Eli was checking out his sofa.

Have a great weekend everyone!  On Monday I will have the fun blizzard pictures.  Sledding and snow ball fights!

Cool Neighbors

Just a quick post, it's Wednesday night and I just got back from the shore with 4, count them 4 Manco & Monco pies and crab cakes from Steve & Cookies.

These are from last Friday.  Next post will have the first of the blizzard pics.  Ariel always seems to have a lollipop in her mouth and we aren't sure where she is getting them!
We finally got our bathroom finished.  It only took 6 months but it's done.  What a difference it makes to have a mirror on the first floor!
Friday night we went to dinner at our neighbor's house.  The snow hadn't started yet but we bundled up the babies just in case.  It was hard to find them outfits online that we could get by the storm.
Ariel have fun in the basement.
The boys sat for second then went crazy.
 Kid's table.
The tv was on.  The storm was getting closer.  Little did Cecily know but it was going to be way more than that!
 Alex playing with Noah.
 More basement fun.
 Then they watched Minions.

 Jenn getting her baby fix.
Time to go boys.  It was awesome Jenn and Jon had us over!
