Baking at Hebrew School

It's Sunday night and we are watching American Idol in Hawaii.  I miss Hawaii.  We really need to get back there.  We had a pretty quiet weekend.  Now are starting April!

Back to last Sunday.  Aden's Hebrew school class did some baking.

We actually enjoyed eating what they made.
The twins started their Sunday morning hip hop class at the NAC.  They had 3 friends in there.  The twins Hannah and Ava and Paige.
 It was a big crowd.

The young girls leading the class weren't very good.
 The boys did try though.
Then we went to a playground in Newtown.

Melissa and Mark met us there.
Later that afternoon, Aden started flag football.  This time it's a little different.  There are no set teams.  They pick them each week.  Aden isn't thrilled about that but the organized teams play during Hebrew school.
Aden played quarterback for most of the game.  These were 9 and 10 year olds so Aden was on the bigger side.  He actually looked imposing under center.  I'm not going to post videos because I don't want to embarrass Aden.
Then we went to Amy's parent's house for dinner.  Wow we did a lot that day.  Everyone was playing outside.  On the street.

 Yummy dinner.
The end of a fun weekend.  Right Noah?

Churchville Nature Center

It's Thursday night.  I'm just back from a synagogue brotherhood event at an arcade!  The Phillies started their season today with a big win including a grand slam! Bryce Harper, our new superstar got booed when he struck out!  That didn't take long!  Back to last Friday and Saturday.

I love watching the twins interact with their friends at school.

 Dinner at Red Robin.
Then Dick's to get Aden some sports equipment.

Saturday morning, I found one of Eli's old binky's.  I gave it to him and he put in right in his mouth!  It's been over a year since he's seen one.
We went to Kennedy's birthday party at the Churchville Nature Center around the corner from our house.
 Yes, that's a real bear.
There was cool critters to look at.
They told us about the local environment, then brought out some creatures to see.

 Big turtle.
Lizard.
The birthday girl wanted to get close to everything!

Then we went on a nature walk.

 Back for cupcakes.

The boys had a blast and did not want to leave!
 Have a great weekend!

Purim and Pizza

It's Wednesday night.  Time to take out the trash.  Tomorrow is Opening Day!  Who is ready for some Phillies action?  Should be a fun year.  That also means it's bound to get warm one of these days.  Last Wednesday we went to Shir Ami for Purim celebrations.  They had a band of kids and a band of adults playing different rock songs.  I'm not really sure what the connection is to the holiday but the kids were cute and the adults were a little embarrassing.  Someone who knows I'm playing the guitar made me promise never to get up there.
Then it was pizza time.  Eli was back to his favorite job.  Filling as many water cups as possible.
Pretty big crowd.  Todd and Ali joined us.

So Ariel grabbed the mic and started singing.  Eli meanwhile banged on the drums and had really good rhythm.  We may need to get him a set!
The kids had a little too much fun.  Noah even went outside with some older kids!

This is something we should be worried about.  All the signatures are Amy's until you get to the bottom one.  Ariel did that!
Thursday morning the twins picked the new books they want to order.
 Fun at school.

Aden and I got haircuts.  Aden goes way more often now that his hair is shorter.
Ariel always comes for the treats.
Here we are!  All cleaned up!

We have been playing the music from the new Mary Poppins for the twins but they had yet to see the movie.  It finally came out so we had a family movie night!
 The kids were enthralled.
I took a few clips of the singing.
