Scary Cupcakes

It's Thursday night!  Big Halloween weekend coming up.  It's a bummer that the schools aren't having their big parties but the kids are still going to dress up tomorrow.  We still don't even know if the kids are trick or treating.  A hurricane passed by today.  It poured all day.  So damp and chilly.  I can't wait to get under my covers!

One of our sitters got a new dog.  Seems everyone is getting a dog.
Some funny things I found.

Friday morning we got a pic of Honey.  Good morning!
Pick up at school.  The boys told Lina they were excited to go to her party.
A surprise was waiting for us at home.  Melissa's Cupcakes from New York.  I ordered a bunch.
Aden finished them off in a few days.
Spooky!
The younger kids seem to like art projects and learning exercises.

Our neighbors finished their mudroom!  It looks great!  The guys then headed to our house to start ours.
The boys checked it out.
We played outside their house.

Alex came to sleep over.  Good timing.  She got some cupcakes.
The girls watched a movie.
Lol.  Have a great weekend!

That's One Huge Steak

It's Wednesday night and Aden's football season is over.  They were down the whole game and almost made a comeback.  Oh well.  Aden should be proud.  He played well this season even though he was annoyed the coach wouldn't let him be the quarterback.  The mudroom is moving very quickly.  They want to finish it by Friday.  That will be 5 days.  It took them 3 weeks to do the neighbors!

Last Wednesday we woke up to Ariel sleeping on our bench.
The trees are changing colors!
Ariel attended virtual school in her costume.
I thought this was funny.
Back to football.  Here's a nice picture of the team.
Not sure why I didn't take many pics.
I was more interested in the clouds!

After the game, we met Amy, Ariel and Noah at Mara's house to meet their new puppy.  Eli stayed home with Heather as far away from the dog as possible!
Meet Maggie!  She's a little goldendoodle.  Their first dog!  I think they are in shock.
Of course we travel in costume.

Such a cutie.
So this is the alcove in the garage that I finally agreed to turn into a mudroom.  Then the cleaning started.
Thursday morning all the neighborhood kids headed back to school.
Aden had tennis.
It was my mom's 29th birthday!  We went to dinner at Rocco's in Newtown.  Luckily it was a nice night.
We opened presents.
Then dinner arrived.  Mom and I shared a tomahawk steak!
That's some bone.  It fed both of us and Aden finished it the next day!
We had fun.
Happy Birthday!!!

Of course the boys were still up when we got back.  Yes, we didn't take them.  We wanted to enjoy ourselves!
Practicing spelling before bed.

Costume Shopping

It's Tuesday night.  Our mudroom is coming along.  We have to make decisions on the fly, which Amy and I are not that good at.  We ordered from Chili's using Doordash tonight.  Although, I actually forgot to hit send so 7:00 came around and Amy said she was hungry, where was the food.  Oops.

Last Monday, Ariel started school.  She didn't want me to leave.
Her dolls are busy during the day.
That night, Aden played his friend Peyton's team.
I was too cold to take pics.  I think the mask will be nice this winter to keep my face warm!
All the havaneses were there.
Big win for Aden's team.
On Tuesday, Amy, Ariel and I went to pick up the boys.
Then we went to a Halloween store.
Noah and Eli wanted to look at all the decorations but you could tell they were scared.

We ran into the President!
If you watch Stranger Things this will make you smile.
Aden liked Pennywise.
The last thing Eli needs is a chain saw!
So Eli ended up being Pete the Cat.  So cute!

Ariel is a fawn and Noah is Rusty Rivets.
Now talk about crazy.  My mom made this ET costume for me when I was in 5th or 6th grade.  I believe I won best costume!  She did a great job!  It's actually not too small on me but hopefully one of my kids will wear it soon.

A little tv before bed.
