Happy Birthday Dad!!!

It's Tuesday night and we are watching the gymnastics.  Aden got his first bicycle today!  He's doing great with it.  More on that later.  Now, back to the weekend.

Sunday, very early in the morning, I took Aden with me to a charity event in the name of my uncle on the Atlantic City boardwalk.  It's the 4th year.
 Aden was tired.
We took a walk to the beach.

 Some people from work came.
Aden had fun wrestling with Bill.
Aden was in the stroller and Genny was on Leo's shoulders during the race.  They were trash talking about who was going to win, which was pretty funny.  Then Aden jumped off the stroller and started running, Genny followed.
They ran for a couple of blocks.  Everyone was cheering them on. Genny has much longer legs and won easily.  Aden stopped 10 feet before the finish because he was mad he lost.  I had to carry him the rest of the way.  How do you teach a 4 year old to be a good loser?

Sharing the charity bracelets with Ariel.
We then met Alan, Josh and Sloane at the playground.  It was busier then usual.

 Lots of fun.
We stopped by Judy and Steve's.  Beverly, Sol, Sandy and Elliott were there!
Aden and Steve got down to some serious wrestling.
It started raining by 12, so we gave up on the beach.  It was Ariel's 8 month birthday and I wanted to take pictures with her sign on the beach but that didn't happen.  We packed up and met my parents at The Pub in Pennsauken.  We hadn't been there in a while.
We celebrated my dad's birthday, which is actually today, August 1st!

Aden talked about playing the video games all night.
He won a doggie that has not left his side!

Blueberry Pancakes

Saturday morning, we went to Hannah G's in Ventnor for breakfast.  It was crazy hot and humid already but we sat outside anyway.  Aden loved his blueberry pancakes.

Ariel tried the pancakes and seemed to like them.  Whatever she eats though is usually just a few bites.
Awww.
We made it just in time.  It got really crowded.
Then we visited Alan, Ina, Josh and Sloane.  Amy loves their porch and wanted to sit outside even though it was so hot.

She snuggled right in there!
We then went to the beach.  There was no relief.  It was just as hot and humid.
Aden found his friend from last week.

Addison looking cool.

The beach wasn't as crowded as it looks.  The water kept moving up pushing everyone together.

Barry brought a shower curtain to line the hole and made a pool!

Fill it up!

Ariel was not herself all day.  She didn't smile and she felt warm.

Aden had a fun day.
Back to Ariel.  We had a babysitter and plans but Ariel just seemed to get worse.  She was inconsolable.  Then we figured it out, she had a tooth on the bottom!  Her first tooth finally came through.  So much for our plans.  We got her to bed by 9:30 with the help of Tylenol and were finally able to go pick up dinner.  Oh well. Only 19 more to go!

Lots of Cousins

It's late Sunday night and we are home, back from the Shore a bit earlier than usual.  It was quite an interesting weekend.  Let's just say, we have a tooth!  More on that later.  We are watching the opening ceremonies from Friday.  Amy keeps saying, "this is weird!"

Back to last Thursday.  Aden got a another birthday present.  A really intense Spiderman outfit.  He does not want to remove the mask even though it freaks out Amy a bit.
 Sibling love!

My cousin Carol was in from Florida so we had a cousin's lunch at Gallo's in the Northeast.  My grandmother and her sister where excited to be with everyone.
 Cheryl, Sophie, Jen and Carol.
Carol didn't want to let go of Ariel.

 The first cousins.

My grandmother impatiently waited to get her hands on the baby.

I got some video clips of the great grandmoms singing Yiddush songs to the girls.  Precious.
 Now our turn.

 Working on thank you notes!
FInally to the Shore!  We rushed down after camp and had dinner with Adam, Ellen and Jackson.
Then it was time to head to the Dairy Bar.
I used to to rub my gums on everything too!
First Aden had a chocolate covered banana.
 Big crowd.
Then some ice cream!  It was so hot, even at 9 pm, that the ice cream melted fast!
