Last Day of the Year!!!

Well, this is the end to quite a year.  From the stock market to the gas prices to the election, it will certainly be a year to remember for many people.  For us, it was the beginning of our lives.  Aden has brought us nothing but joy. (even at 3 am when he eats really slowly)  I've said this before, but I can't remember life before him, nor would I want to.  Next year will have us in a new house with new challenges to face but it will always be 2008 that lives in our hearts. Thank you for being there with us, we hope we have brought you some joy and entertainment.  If it wasn't for you, I probably would not take as many pictures so posterity thanks you also. (there will be plenty of pictures for his Bar Mitzvah montage)  We wish you all a safe, happy and healthy New Year!

Back From Mexico

Monday we met Brianna and Adam and family for lunch at Unos.  That's about it. Nothing much more to report today.  Is anyone doing anything fun for New Years?  We don't have a babysitter so we are having a family friendly evening, I guess, unless someone wants to babysit?!?  Come on, you know you do...  I'm waiting for a warmimsh day to do my annual post-Christmas shopping trip to New York.  Ok, just rambling so I will stop.  Oh, I did see Adam yesterday.  They had fun in Mexico, even though it took 12 hours to get there, and Adam looked very tan and relaxed.

Princeton 2030

Saturday morning I woke up to this.

Amy had a list of things she wanted to accomplish.  I had other ideas and we ended up taking a nice drive through Princeton.  We wanted to pick up an application for Aden.  It's not too soon for early decision, is it?  We checked out some furniture stores and did a little sight seeing.  It's only like 1/2 hour from home but we don't venture up there that often.  Before we went, we had lunch at that new pizza place where Goodnoes was.  I miss Goodnoes!

Saturday night, Amy's aunt Judy had us over for dinner.  Edmund, Elaine, Adam and Brianna were in from Atlanta.  Brianna and Adam couldn't wait to play with "Little Baby Aden."

They said the drive seemed longer than usual.  I couldn't do it.  It was great to see them again.

The kids were really good with Aden.  It was cute.

Uncle Mark can never get enough of him too.

Adam, Brianna and Aden made out well for Hanukkah one more time.  Look at Adam's face.  Don't you miss those days?!?!

Aden got some great books and onesies and big toys!

This book is neat, the pictures move.

It's funny how Aden loves to open gifts already.

The adults got a special treat from Atlanta.

Jam!

Sunday, my parents watched Aden and Amy and I went to the Expo Center in Bridgewater New Jersey again.  We actually bought some stuff for the house and narrowed down other stuff.  I got the door knobs I wanted!  The small wins are the sweetest!  Here we are crossing the Delaware between Lambertville, NJ and New Hope, PA.

Amy and I had our first date in New Hope four years ago next month!!!  It's been nothing but bliss ever since!

Amy decided I was going to make a roast for dinner.  It actually wasn't that hard.  Just throw the veggies and meat in the oven.  It just took longer than expected.  It came out pretty good though.  Aden ate some oatmeal while we were waiting.

Yummy, oatmeal.

When we were finally eating, Aden made sure he got his share.

Mark probably shouldn't be encouraging Aden to play with his food!

Tickle Me Elmo - Friend or Foe?

Aden's First Christmas!

Thursday Amy went to the movies with her mother and sister to see Marley and Me.  It was daddy and Aden bonding time.  We went over to the Jewish Museum and met Jaime, Abby, Jordan, Amanda and Jared.  Aden is about a month older than Jared.  It was pretty crowded and they had lots of entertainment.  A juggler, a band, a puppet show and a science show.  They probably could have done better than the plain bagels and apple juice but we had a good time.

Christmas dinner was at Ben and Irvs.  Nobody wanted Chinese.  It was packed but Lenny and Mimi hooked us up with a table for 10.

Jews everywhere!

We had a nice dinner but nobody had ham.

The line was out the door!

We went back to Amy's house for dessert.  Grandpa loves to hold Aden.

Great Bubbie or Super Bubbie, whatever she is, really loves to play with Aden.

Getting ready for bed.

Aden loves his new alligator.

Friday we met Teri for lunch at Jake's.  She was excited to see Aden again.  She's also a big fan of this blog!  Hey Teri!

We headed over to Jeanne's house and Arlene and Susan were there.  With Amy's mom and Teri it was all teachers!

Aden was introduced to Tickle Me Elmo.  I will post a video later.  At first he was curious, then a bit scared, then he seemed to like him.  It was very cute.

Jeanne's son Sean was in from Boston with his wife Whitney and son Cian.  They are a really cute family.  We had fun hanging out, talking and playing.

Aden was splashing around in the tub.  I think he finally likes the bath.

Green Beans?

Monday night, Amy treated Aden and I to a very nice dinner.

All Aden wanted was his teething ring though!

Happy Baby!

Tuesday we went to the house to pick the rest of the paint colors.  Debbie the decorator brought this thing for Aden.  He loved it!

What color do you want?  Tuesday night, we met Melissa for dinner at the Mandarin Garden then Amy went back to the City for a night out with the girls.  Melissa, Aden and I hit Bloomingdales.  They are starting to remember Aden there!

Wednesday we kind of laid around all day.  Aden is totally back to normal.  He slept through the night the last 2 nights and is back to drinking full bottles.  We thought we would try some real food again.  Not peas but string beans this time.  You can see his initial reaction.

But all the sudden things started to change.

Maybe it wasn't so bad after all.

Ok, give me some more!

Yummy!

He finished a whole bottle!  I will post a video later.
