Cantelope

Another Party?

I was in the city all day taking CLE classes. I have to go back down tomorrow. Amy is going to pick me up and we are going to head to the shore afterwards. The wedding has come!

First cantelope...

then lollipop!

blue boy

Tuesday night we went to gym class.

As soon as we said we were going to the gym, Aden started saying "party!" I guess he has a good memory!

He had fun running around.

His new favorite friend, Spiderman!

This will be my first tattoo!

Bubbles!

Up Early

Sunday morning, Mark, Aden and I went to the Atlantic City boardwalk before 7 am for charity walk/run in uncle's name.

They got a good turnout even though it was in the 90's already. The runners went first so we had to wait a while for our 1 mile walk.

A little morning snack.

It was a long, hot wait.

Thankfully uncle Mark is good at keeping Aden entertained.

Checking out the scene.

Ok, here we go!

Mark probably wasn't happy about it, but we came in second to last, in a walk! When we were done, we asked Aden what he wanted to do next. He said, "I want to go to the beach and see Brianna!"

Finally to the beach!

Brianna and Adam couldn't wait to see Aden either.

It was so hot, you could barely breathe!

The only place to be was in the water.

Hey Alex!

The best way to cool down.

All clean and ready for the long ride home.

The Last Weekend Before the Wedding

It's late Sunday and I should be going to sleep but I wanted to get a head start on this. The drive home from the Shore was pretty quick and Aden kept us entertained. He was singing and dancing in his seat.

Friday we got down and barbecued dinner, then took Aden to the beach.

The Wiggles!

Still loves that lifeguard stand.

Looking more like me every day! Lucky kid.

Sunset!

This guy was pretty good with the bagpipes, although I have no idea why he them to begin with.

A quick trip to the playground before bed.

Saturday morning, it was already in the 90's when we got up but Melissa and I decided to go for a walk anyway. We figured it would be cooler on the beach. It was, but just barely. The action on the beach was surprising. So many people exercising, running, walking, doing yoga. Made us feel guilty for all those times we slept in! Melissa wanted to run the last half mile. I am so out of shape. I made it but thought I was going to pass out!

Resting with my boys.

I have no idea what this is.

Adam and Brianna are back!!! Elaine and the gang drove in from Atlanta Friday. Aden was so excited to see the kids. Without them I don't know if Aden would have gone in the water.

Uncle Mark is his best friend.

Pretty!

Granpop's turn.

It was so hot on the beach, even in the water but we all had fun!

Keep On Rockin'. Because You Only Rock Once!

The Geator with the heater! What do you think of Jerry Blavat's Corvette?

Thursday was an exciting day at Breezy Point Day Camp.
Not only was it visiting day but the Phillie Phanatic stopped by also!

Aden kept slapping him five.

Missed the moment when the Phanatic leaned into Amy's dad's car and gave her mom a big kiss!

Aden can't wait till he's old enough for the slide.

Swim time!

The counselor grabbed Aden and an right into the pool.

Needless to say, he was not thrilled.

Dad and Stu.

Saved from the pool.

We almost didn't go to music class because Aden was not in the best mood but he perked up when we got there.

Fun!

I have no idea what the licking the fingers thing was about.

Shady Brook Farms for $.94 ice cream!

Aden ate a ton, probably a little too much.

But those are the joys of childhood summertime.

How is it possible it's almost August?
