Enough Snow Already?

Is anyone watching the Grammy's now?  Luckily, I am able to fast forward.  Is it just me or is music really just annoying these days?  I would hate to think I'm just out of the loop.  Paul and Ringo weren't bad and I really liked Pink but that was about it.  It was a quiet weekend and I have very few pictures to share.

Friday, a quick visit with my beautiful niece!
 There she is!
Ben and Irv's with my family for dinner.  Ariel only wanted a chocolate covered pretzel.
Uncle Mark took Aden to his first Sixer's game.
Aden had a great time.  He had a bite of a hotdog (for those of you who don't know, Aden does not eat meat), which he didn't love but then nachos and Gatorade for the first time, which he did like!  I was worried about how he would handle all the noise after his experience last week at the Flyers but it didn't bother him.  Mark was surprised how tough it was to be in charge of Aden for a night but he did a great job.
 Back to soccer Saturday.
Aden was involved but not overly thrilled.
He's been doing this exercise for years and I'm still not sure how it works.

 Water break.
He was on an all girls team again some how but this time he played.  I had nothing to do as Benjamin and Brody's parents weren't there.
The rest of Saturday we had very long and very unexpected snowstorm.  Amy slept.  I did laundry and I'm not sure what the kids were doing.  It's all a blur.  We ended up with several inches and it was so cold it got icy fast.  We went to dinner with Adam and Ellen.  I had the wrong footwear but we had a nice time.

What, Me Bossy?

It's somehow Thursday night again.  It's late and we have to straighten up the house for the cleaning lady.  That's something I have been doing my whole life and don't fully understand.  We got our electric and gas bill for the month.  I think it's the highest it's been since we lived here.  I guess the coldest January in history will do that to you!  Speaking of cold, here is the aftermath of Tuesday's snow on Wednesday morning.
Wow, that's high for one snowfall.

Everything was plowed but it was still a slippery mess.
Amy had a rough time with the kids on their day off so I took over when I got home.  Aden tried out some of the 3D drawing.
We found Ariel on the steps reading.
Not sure how she ended up there.
 Trying on daddy's glasses.
 Don't need them yet.
She wants to sleep in Aden's bed so badly.  It's probably time to take down the safety rails but I guess if she does start sleeping there then we should leave them.
 Her Minnie Mouse look.

Olly for new shoes!
Neither kid has changed sizes in the last 6 months.  Should we be worried about that?
 Ariel sporting her new sneakers.
 Dinner at Piccolos.
We found this in Ariel's folder.  We know what they mean, she really can be bossy!

Happy One Month Birthday Eva!

Well we ended up with about 13 inches of snow.  Amy and the kids had off but the roads weren't bad so I went to work.  We were plowed out before dawn, which was nice.  No shoveling for us, we just make a phone call!  Both the kids have colds so Amy had a tough day with them and they didn't get to play outside.

Today is Eva's one month birthday!  That went fast.  She's already a big girl!  She really doesn't seem like an infant anymore.  Ariel cannot wait to really play with her.  Before we know it.
This was on Sunday, four weeks since Eva was born.  We know she will change a ton over the years but for now at least I see Melissa half the nose up and Mark the rest!
Amy was home with the kids Monday.  She sent me this picture.  Ariel is just starting to watch tv a bit.  Aden loves tv.
When I got home Ariel was eating with her doll at her little table.

Tuesday morning the snow started quickly and heavily.
It was a long, slow drive home.  I saw accidents everywhere.  Getting the kids was a bit crazy.
We spent the rest of the day watching the snow.
 It piled up fast.
 This was right before sunset.
Yes, we still have one pumpkin left from the Fall.  Keep forgetting to throw it out.
Pizza has become a pretty standard meal for the kids.  Aden's was homemade.

We spread out words and made sentences.
 Aden's reading improves every day.
 Ariel made her own sentences.
Amy noticed these tracks and was worried someone was trying to get into our house.  Eventually we saw the deer running around a playing.  Cute but I didn't get a pic.
Here are the tracks in the morning.

The Neverending Winter

Welcome to the Winter Wonderland!  Does anyone know how much is out there?  It's almost 11 pm on Tuesday and it's been snowing since about 10 am.  I would say there is at least a foot.  All four of us had a half day today and all the schools are closed tomorrow.  I will talk more about this day on the next post.

Here's new momma Stef and baby Hailey.  We are so excited for them and can't wait to meet her!
Sunday morning the kids played on top of me while Amy slept.
Aden's friend Jason came to spend the day.
Somehow all of Aden's stuffed animals ended up in our room.
The kids were crazy.  Ariel kept up with the boys.

Aden used to love Buzz and Woody, now they are in the closet.  Sort of reminds me of Toy Story 3.

 Push!

 Fun day.
Sunday night, we went to dinner at Tony's.
 Silly girl.
It was baby Eva's first time at a restaurant!
She missed it though.  Never woke up.
Next time hopefully you get to try some food!
