Eataly

My cousin from Israel, Einat, who was in a few months ago with her daughter, was back in New York for a few days for work.  She's a workout clothes designer who sells her clothes to places like Lululemon and Reebok.  I went up there Wednesday to meet her for lunch.  It was 100 degrees with about 100% humidity so let's say we swam to lunch.  We ended up at Mario Batali's place Eataly in Chelsea.  For those of you who haven't been there, it's a huge market of fresh pastas, cheeses, etc., with little cafes scattered about.  We ate at the newest one where they only have 5 items on the menu but you sit right next to the chefs and watch them cook.
The menu changes daily depending on what's fresh.
 It was excellent.
Then we walked over to the Shake Shack in Madison Square Park.  Usually the line is crazy but it wasn't too bad.  I guess 100 degrees is good for something.
Ice cream with chocolate and toffee.  Yum!
It started to get dark, the thunderstorms were coming so I ran back for the train.  Made it home just in time.
Today, I had CLE classes in the City.  Amy went to camp for visiting day.  That's Aden in the red shirt in the middle.
Then Aden had his 4 year check up.  He did really well and took the shots like a man.  He is done with his childhood vaccinations!  He's about 50% for height and weight and healthy!  Amy took him for ice cream at Shady Brook Farms where he played on the swing sets.
Ariel is not so sure about the high chair.
 She's really digging the Cheerios.
 Playtime.

 She's really standing well!

Amy, thanks so much for taking the time to visit Shake Shack with your family. We agree - nothing fixes these hot summer days like a shake in the park!

Hope you had an awesome time, and our team can't wait to see you again soon!
