Friday night Aden had his last T Ball game. It was a makeup from the rained out one last weekend. Since we had to stay around for camp orientation Saturday morning, we were happy we were able to make it. Lilly and Ariel hanging out.
Aden signed a card for the coaches. That's a big A!
The kids were excited to play but...
The storm came up pretty fast. You can see the rain in the distance. It was the lightening though that had us running for our cars.
So we went to Goodnoe's Ice Cream instead. Aden went right up to the counter and said he wanted a big sundae.
We all ate it.Jake always being silly.
It was a fun season. One of his coaches also does soccer so we may all be back together in the Fall.
Ready for the 5 minute ride home!
Saturday morning we rushed to pack and get out door. Aden was a good helper.
You might recall Aden had some difficult times the last 3 summers at Breezy Point Camp. It just took him too long to adjust. We were nervous about how he would react going to Southampton Day Camp, which is bigger and very unfamiliar.
First the owners gave us some background.
Then it was off on our tour with Aden's counselor Noel. Melissa teaches with Noel and really likes him. Aden took to him right away.
What do you want to try first?
He followed closely to Noel asking questions.
Yes, that's Melanie and Rob. Jason from next door is in the bunk.
Big place.
With lots of activities.
I think it might be a few years before Aden tries the zip line across the pond.
Each bunk makes a plaque. They are all hanging up. Amy found one of hers from when she was a counselor. Amy was a bit prescient in the naming of the bunk.
