So last Sunday we got a call from the camp nurse. She said Ariel's braces broke and her we needed to come get her! Now that seemed liked a lot of driving but of course we wanted to see her! Turns out, one of the counselors we know had a day off and offered to drive her home. That saved me a four hour round trip plus she was in the car with two college girls and really loved that. I got her around 8 pm. She was sad she was missing square dancing but she was excited to see us and sleep in air conditioning for a night.
This is the way Aden showed that he missed her. Of course I had Crumbl cookies waiting for her.
Honey came to visit.
Gwen hugs.
Gwen didn't want to let go!
Awww.
We were up late catching up and playing board games.
Early Tuesday morning the house felt whole again.
We got her braces fixed then stopped by to see my parents.
My mom gave her candy which she tried to hide in her clothes.
On the way back, I asked if she wanted to do a little shopping at the King of Prussia Mall. I had to drag her there. Lol. Look at that smile!
She did well at some of her favorite stores.
We finally made it back to camp after we stopped at Dairy Queen to get an ice cream cake for her bunk.
She had a bag of candy and a bag of clothes on top of the cake to hide it.
Bye baby. Enjoys your last few weeks at camp. It really made us all feel better to see her for a few hours.
Some chess that night.
Aden and Jared did a drill with a bunch of girls!
Of course the girls were better than the boys.
Eli talking to Emo.
A few late camp pics.
The 6 campers and the 3 counselors.
