Last Sunday, we had quite an adventure. Harper came over around 11:30 and we left to go to Baltimore. Ariel and Harper had Maddie's Bat Mitzvah from 6-10. When Aden heard about this, he said he wanted to go because the Eagles were playing the Ravens in Baltimore at 4:30. Ariel's friend Royce from DC was going to meet us at the Towson Mall at 2. I was going to leave the girls with them then head to the game. The usual 2 hour drive took us over 4 hours!
We dumped the girls off and headed to the game. There's the stadium. We parked at the casino next door. That took a while. It was gridlock around there.
Then the gates were packed. This was after 4 but the game hadn't started yet.
There were tons of Philly fans and they were mixing well with the Raven's fans.
We ran to our seats, passing some good looking food.
A nice view of the city.
We got to our seats during the first drive. So we barely made it. So much for tailgating. It was cold but Aden did not wear a jacket. I had my heated vest which felt nice.
There were Eagles fans everywhere. The Raven's fans were very nice. They asked us about our stadium.
Meanwhile, the girls were getting ready at Mila's house.
Ready to party!
Back to the game. The first half was slow but the second half was exciting.
It was cool when they put the purple lights on.
It started snowing!
We won! And we were 3 point underdogs. All the purple jackets were gone in the 4th. It was just Eagles fans left chanting the Eagles song.
Good win boys!
We walked back to the casino to eat dinner.
The casino was packed. Thankfully, we had a reservation at Gordon Ramsay Steak House.
We were in a bit of a rush but so we had the apps, salads, steak and dessert all delivered at once. The sticky toffee pudding was good. Aden liked the steak.
50 Cent was playing in the casino. That's why the place was so crazy. We went to the car around 9 with plans to get to Ariel and Harper around 9:30. The parking lot was shut down by the police. We were stuck there until 11! I had to have Ariel go home with a family she barely knew.
We finally made it to the girls around 11:30. The family was very nice.
I had to charge my car. The girls were lively at first but then fell asleep. We dropped off Harper around 2 am! I wasn't asleep until 2:30. What a wild, long day!
