Mario and Dragons

It's Sunday night.  We had a pretty quiet weekend.  Let's head back to the Disney Wish.  A week ago Friday, we woke up early and headed to breakfast.
Then it time to head off this ship.  Amy's family took the Disney bus to the airport. We loaded into an Uber and took the one hour trip back to Orlando.
We went to the new Helios Hotel, which is on the grounds of the new Universal park, Epic Universe.  Our room was ready so we headed up and got a view of the park below.
So cool!

We went directly into the park around 9:40.  It opened to the public at 10 so we got a little bit of a head start.  So nice having our own entrance.  We didn't have to go around to the main entrance.
The hotel from the back.
Huge Bellagio like fountain right outside the hotel.
There  was a cool zone right there.  Wow we needed that.  It was a really hot and humid day.  Way into the 90's.
There is a central world, then 4 other worlds off to the sides.  This post will cover the first 2 worlds.  Of course, first we went to Super Nintendo World.
We went through a Mario Bros pipe to get in!

I just realized I don't have great pictures of the area.  It was so cool!  Felt like we were in a Mario Bros game.  We walked right through there to Donkey Kong Country.
There were interactive things all over the place.

We went on the Yoshi ride.  We were smart and got the express passes.  The lines were so long on every ride.
This ride gave us a good view of the land.

Then we went to Mario Kart Bowser's Challenge.  The whole castle was so cool.

We saw the Mario Kart race in our headsets so I can't really show that there but it was really cool.  We picked up powerups and could use them to slow down other drivers.

Such a cool area but we needed to move on.
We had a quick meal in Celestial Park, which is the central world.  There is the hotel!
Next was How to Train Your Dragon - The Isle of Berk.

This place looked amazing too.  Really felt like we were there.
It was so hot.  It was starting to get to us.
This ride you get soaked so we didn't do it.
This was the food hall.  All the restaurants were the same.  You order from your phone and they bring it to you.  Really cool selections.
We did the roller coaster there then headed into the dragon show to cool off.  The dragons were so lifelike!

There is Toothless!

It was around 1.  We headed back to the hotel.  So nice it was right there.
Amy and the boys rested and cooled off.  I went with Ariel to check out the pool.
Come back tomorrow for the rest of the day!
