Last Sunday was Super Bowl! It was also the day before the twin's 9th birthday. There was a surprise waiting for them when they got up. So cute!
We were having the neighbors over for the game. I cooked all day. First, I smoked chickens to pull to make sandwiches. We set up the whole house.
Next, I made wings, which I smoked then fried.
Ariel's friend Amelia came to help us set up.
Ariel ended up having a whole bunch of friends with their matching Travis Kelce shirts.
Hey Ali! You aren't a neighbor!
More and more came.
Spreading into the basement.
Aden tried to hit on Chloe and Ilena, pretty poorly.
We also had pizza and chicken fingers to go with the meatballs, pulled chicken and chicken wings we made.
There was a lots of chatting and not much football watching going on.
I usually make the wings sweet. These were spicy and a big hit!
Some people watched the game.
The Plastics!
We had a block pool for the kids. The first quarter ended 0-0 and no one had the 0-0 block!
We also had a cake for Eli and Noah.
Oh yeah, we had hoagies too. They were good.
The kids took over the basement.
The neighborhood crew that stayed until the 4th.
