Who Is Coming to Dinner?

Howdy.  It's late Wednesday night and I'm slowly sipping some bourbon and trying to wind down from the day.  It was really cold again and Ariel for some reason was really testing my patience.  I did get an all clear from the dentist though.  That's always nice.

Last Saturday morning we went over to our friends Jason and Heather's new house.  They moved to Warrington about 6 months ago.  They have twin 7 year old boys.  My kids haven't seem them in a while but they got right into playing.
These are those balls that are supposed to float.  They have commercials all the time.  They actually worked pretty well.

We found them wrestling on Jason's bed.  Ariel was right in the middle of it.
Smile!
Yummy pizza.

Then it was video game time.

Their house is very close to where Twin Oaks Day Camp was.  It was the camp I went to as a kid.  The previous owners of this house must have stolen this sign.  I want it!
 Pop!
 More wrestling.

 Phew!  Those boys are crazy!
 Bye!  It was fun!

Saturday night, Amy and I went to the Seaport Museum on Penn's Landing for the Golden Slipper Auction.  I'm a member of the Golden Slipper club which is a fraternal organization that sponsors several charities and an over night camp for underprivileged kids. You might remember us going last year to it at the giant warehouse on the West side of center city Philly with all the food trucks.  At that one, our friend won 2 tickets to the Emmy's.  She had a blast and met tons of stars. First we were in the museum part have appetizers.

Then we headed up to the ballroom for gambling, dancing and eating.

 My buddy Brian.
So we didn't bid on anything at the silent auction.  Last year we actually got a bunch of things but this year we passed.  We did buy a raffle ticket and actually won!  We got to pick from 3 of the 10 big live items which included and African safari!  Since we can't really travel these days, we picked a famous Philly chef coming to our house to cook dinner.  Who is coming?!?!
