Our Home Away From Home

Surprise Surprise.  We were in Florida.  Let's get right into it.  Our flight was at 7am, yes 7am, out of Trenton, New Jersey, which is only about 15-20 minutes from our house.  We have never down that before so we thought we'd give it a try.  If all goes well, it could be great.  Close by, easy parking and we would be the only flight.  But if there is a problem like weather or mechanical, you are screwed.  There are no other options.  We got the kids up at 5 and headed out.
The twins are happy when they get up.
Boarding at sunrise.

Eli looks so small in his seat.
Thankfully it went smoothly.  The older kids were engrossed by their iPads and the babies were good but very alert and had to be entertained the whole time.  Noah fell asleep for just the last half hour.
The stewardesses were very funny and the pilot was able to take a shortcut?! and we got to south Florida in about 2 hours!
Aden asked my why the man was sitting in the box.  We had an incident at the airport.  We were about to get the rental car and Amy couldn't find one of the bags.  I ran through the airport and by total luck, found it on the back of a wheel chair.  When we stopped on the jetway to get the stroller, it must have been put with the stuff of someone getting into a wheel chair.  The people had no idea it was there.  All of this because I saw a flash of red across the baggage claim area.  Goes to show you, brightly colored bags are the way to go.
Stylin' in our mini van.  Convenient but still not getting one.
It was so nice to get to the condo and finally stretch out.

The big kids wanted to go to the pool.  It was in the mid 80's but threatening rain.
Hard to see but it started pouring.
So we exercised.

We got some pool time in.

Then got caught in the rain.
Dinner that night with my parents, who were with us.

Then we walked over to Kilwin's for sweets.

The boys loved their ice cream.
My dad taught Aden chess before bed.  He really picked it up well and now plays all the time on his iPad!  Stay tuned for 7 more days of Florida fun...
