Sam's Bris

Friday morning, Amy, Aden and I went to our synagogue, Beth Am, in Abington.  Our new rabbi and friend Larry and his wife Becky had a baby boy three weeks early.  They decided to have the Bris at the synagogue so everyone could come.  It was the first one there ever and there was a big crowd!  The older guy second from the left is the original rabbi, Rabbi Waintrup.  He is in his 90's and still going.  He presided over my Bar Mitzvah.  His voice is as deep and strong and resonating as ever.  It gives my sister chills.  So we were in the back and I was holding Aden and feeding him.  He happened to give a giant burp at a quiet time in the ceremony.  Of course everyone looked but then laughed.  It was cute.  This was Aden's second bris and it was Cantor Kushner again!  This poor kid thinks he's being followed!

They had a really nice breakfast after the ceremony.  Catered by Ben and Irv's of course.

Everyone wanted to see Aden.  We got such different reactions from people.  They would either say he looked like Amy or me.  Some thought he was big and some small.  A few were convinced he was Sam, who only weighs 5 lbs.

The happy family!

Here is Becky and Sam.  Look how much smaller Sam is!  Don't you love the matching kippahs, provided by Cantor Kushner?

Congrats Larry, the fun is ready to begin!  Now Aden has so many new friends.  Alyssa, Madison, Carter, Jake, Ryan, Jared and Sam!  He's looking forward to the friends coming in October, November, December, January and March!
