Two Month Checkup

Wednesday we had Aden's two month checkup.  Where does time go?  It was a nice day so we walked over, the whole time debating what to do about the shots.  At two months, there are 6 vaccinations.  Five are given by needles and one is given orally.  Until recently, there was no question the baby would get them all.  Now, some parents are hesitating because they believe that so many at once is too much of a shock to the system and may cause lingering problems.  The doctor said he would split them up if we wanted but studies show that could make them less effective.

It was a really hard decision, especially after we talked to recent parents who have decided to limit their vaccinations to two at a time, just in case.  Amy was worried about the extra trauma of splitting up the shots and putting Aden through it more than is necessary.  The doctor said if it was his kid, he would do the shots.

So, we did them all.  It was over quickly.  It broke our hearts to hear him cry but we think it was for the best.  After, he ate then slept for hours.

We walked around the City a bit.

Did a little shoe shopping at Steve Madden.  Amy wished she had seen these before she bought her wedding shoes.

Rittenhouse Square.

We shared a hot, chocolate waffle from Bonte.

Yummy.

Do you all remember the belly?  Hard to believe it was here only 2 months ago.  She was in labor when this picture was taken.

Look how amazing she looks now!

My beautiful wife!
