Happy 90th Birthday Bubbie!!!

That was a pretty jam packed weekend for once ;-) It's my grandmother's 90th birthday today! We celebrated last night. I will post those pictures later.

Saturday morning, Aden had haircut number 6!

Curtis left it long in the front but the back is really short.

We then loaded up the car for a trip to the Shore! The end of August was the last time we did this and we almost forgot how hard it was to pack for three people. Amy kept asking how anyone does this with more than one kid!

Aden had plenty to keep himself busy for the ride, which wasn't bad. It took less than an hour and a half.

No one had been at the house for a while so we had to set things up. Aden found some dogs to keep himself busy since the real dogs weren't there.

Then it was to the Greenhouse for dinner. I guess hanging out here and enjoying it is in our blood!

Aden hadn't seen the beach in a while and we were wondering how he would react. We know some other 2 year olds that hate it. Alright Aden, take Lucy with you, we are hitting the beach!

So what do you think Aden?

OK daddy, let's go!

I guess I should have known not to worry, he ran right on without hesitating.

Of course I had to go chase him down!

Back to meet babysitter Rebecca from the Summer, then Amy and I and Mark and Melissa headed to the Borgata.

We saw Kara Dioguardi in concert. She is the American Idol judge that is also a prolific song writer. She's responsible for many of the hits by Kelly Clarkson, Christina, Pink, Celine and Enrique among others. She rarely performs the songs herself so we were lucky to be able to go.

She explained how the songs were written and the meanings behind them. Let's just say most are written after much wine has been consumed. Her favorite songs come after breaking up with boyfriends!

She really is a great singer. She said part of the reason she is not a performer is that early on she was told she was fat and had a bad nose. I wonder who that was because she's really hot!

We went to collect Mark, who was busy playing poker and headed out for ice cream.

Of course we headed to Two Cents Plain in Margate for waffles and ice cream. This place generally annoys us because the people that work there have attitude problems and they charge you for sharing, but tonight there were very nice. It was only in the 40's but the ice cream hit the spot.
