After the party, Mark took us on a tour of Pittsburgh. It was nice to see him in his world. He seemed so comfortable and happy to be there.
We tried to go to the point where the three rivers meet but the park was closed. Your job is to ask Amy and Melissa the names of the three rivers.
Time warp.
PPG headquarters.
Enjoying the views.
Then we drove around Pitt and Carnegie Mellon. Very cool areas.
Some of the houses in Squirrel Hill and Shadyside were amazing.
Ladder to nowhere.
My cousin Larry's wife Jessica's father owns the Smallman Street Deli on the Strip and this one in Squirrel Hill. He has brought his food to Philly before but this was our first time at one of his restaurants.
We picked up food to bring back to Marks' house for dinner.
Jessica's dad wasn't there but once they found out who we were, they just gave the food to us which was sweet but unnecessary.
So we brought back a ton of food with us.
Here is Mark in his room!
The matzoh balls were great! Rivaling Ben and Irv's. In fact, all the food was really good.
We had two different types of turkey to choose from. Amy conducted a little taste test.
We had fun hanging out and talking and they even got me an awesome birthday cake!
Later that night, we met some of Marks' friends at a local bar.
Sunday morning, Mark, Melissa and Clar left at the same time as us, about 9. It was my birthday! I didn't feel any older. We stopped by the deli again and had a great breakfast.
See ya Pittsburgh! It was kind of a long drive to the airport. Couple that with the Phillies traffic and they beat us home by an hour!
Aden was very happy to see us! We got ready and met my family at Agusto's in Warminster for mine and Bev's birthday dinner.
Another cake!
Aden scraped off all the icing and ate it!
Another great birthday. Thanks everyone!
