It's late Monday night and we are finally home. What a weekend. I need a vacation from my vacation. As you know we love going to the Jersey Shore and think about it all Winter. This season didn't get off to start we expected. My parents were supposed to move in to their new house. It wasn't ready. The weather was not so great. Ariel was a mess. She was not herself all day Friday and did not sleep well Friday night, which means none of us slept well. Saturday morning, Aden was surprisingly cuddly with Cooper.
Ariel found the lip stuff. She opened it and put it on herself.
Robyn came by to visit and say goodbye. She's moving to Dubai next week! Good luck!
My dad came by for a quick visit.
We then headed to playground. It was in the 50's! Is this really Summer? The kids reversed seats for the ride.
It was quiet there. Everyone must have been bundled up at home.
Those clouds are getting scary looking!
Ariel felt a little better and was running around. I really have to keep an eye on her.
She went right up the stairs.
Afterwards, I took them to the newly rebuilt Dairy Bar. They got it open just in time after being flooded during Hurricane Sandy. I got a small and a kiddie and it was $10! I guess we are paying for the reconstruction!
Never too cold for ice cream!
Aden was tired. Ariel was worried about him!
She looks happy here, but she seemed to get sicker as the day went on.
Spoiled doggie.
Saturday night, we all went for Chinese food. Ariel could not sit still. She was not happy.
I left with her before the food came. She needed some aspirin.
She thankfully fell asleep but woke up around 12 and was hysterical. We could not calm her down and we thought we saw sores in her mouth so off to Shore Memorial it was.
You may remember that last Summer this also happened. We took her to the ER when she had similar symptoms and she was diagnosed with Hand Foot Mouth disease and the doctor told us what to look for. After waiting two hours, the doctor finally came in and crazily enough, it was the same doctor! He remembered us right away. He agreed that there were sores but wasn't sure which virus it was. I grabbed a quick pic as Ariel was enjoying her popsicle the nurse brought. There really is nothing else we could do except try and get her comfortable. We didn't get her to bed till after 3. Another night with no sleep for us!
