Day 2: The Island

Last Friday was our first full day in Aruba.  These flamingos are new.
More pelicans.
Noah had another challenger for chess.
My parents and their friends were at the hotel beach.
We headed to get the boat to the private island.
Ariel got wet and laughed.
Here we are!  It's about a 10 minute ride.
This was our first meeting with Charlie the flamingo.  He mostly stood in front of the store.
The other flamingos were resting.
We had lots of friends there.
Fun on the platform.

Aww.  Aden and Ariel.

Go Eva!
This handsome guy posed for me.
Lizards everywhere!
Let's hit the water!
Aden of course found people to play football with.

There were little sharks swimming all around us!  Yes, really.  I will post better pics and videos later.

Conch shells all around with critters at home in them.
We tried a family shot.

The air and water were in the 80s.  It was nice to just float around.

Lunchtime.
Ariel and her flamingo drink.
Speaking of flamingos.  They were everywhere.

They got really close to us.
The kids fed the flamingos.
So pretty.
Time to head back on the boat.

The pool was fun.
Eli could spend the whole day on the slide.

Dinner that night was at Driftwood in town.  A short walk away.
It was packed and a fun place.  They have fishing boats that will take you out fishing then they will cook what you catch!
The town was quiet but decorated nicely.

Our presents!
The main square.

We found the rest of our family in the lobby.

Lots of grandparent cuddles.

That night a cruise ship was leaving.
So cool to see.
Late night drinks by the pool.  Have a great weekend!
