Aden the Astronaut!!!

Sunday morning my parents left for a cruise.  They are really going to miss Aden.

We decided to spend the day in Miami Beach, about 40 minutes away.  We didn't make it in January because of the traffic, but Sunday morning was smooth sailing.

This was on the causeway to the beach.  That is downtown Miami towards the right side and you can sort of make out the cruise ships in the distance.

We love South Beach and were excited to show it to Aden.

We went to our favorite restaurant, Nexxt Cafe.  The whole area was so crowded, it was such a beautiful day.  Aden thankfully slept in the car and was ready to eat when we got there.

The girl near us got huge french toast!

Just hanging out and checking out the chicks.

We shared a Chinese chicken salad and mini burgers.  Their menu is very similar to the Cheesecake Factory.  We think this food is even better!

Lincoln Road Mall.

Amy loved this Golden Doodle and kept following her around.

My cousin Stephanie came to meet us.  She's an attorney in Miami.  Aden really wanted that Ghiradelli sundae.  Aden gets what Aden wants!

She didn't want to give Aden back!

We bought Aden an original Romero Britto Teddy Bear sculpture!  You are never too young to collect art.

We are happy Aden loved Miami!

We went back and did a few laps in the pool then walked over to Amonte's in Deerfield for dinner.

It was a nice night to eat outside.  Aden liked the live music.  He was danced for everyone.

Then we did something so cool.  Boy what hasn't Aden done in his eight months.  The space shuttle was taking off at 7:45 at Cape Canaveral, about 200 miles North up the coast.  I couldn't convince Amy to drive there but we heard you could see it from here.  I have always wanted to see a shuttle launch.  We went out to the Deerfield Pier to be as far out in the ocean as possible.

Aden was so excited!

There was a bunch of people waiting with us.

All ready!

3-2-1 Liftoff!!!

How cool is that!

It went by really fast.

I was so happy I got to share this with Amy and Aden!
