Our First Guests

This is now Sunday night and I'm watching the Amazing Race.  Why is it not in High Def?  If any show should, it should be this one.  We just had dinner at Judy's house for her mother Beverly's Birthday but more on that later.  This is fourth night at the house.  My dad said after a few weeks it would feel like we have always been here.  It's not even going to take that long.  All three of us already feel comfortable.  Probably more so if we weren't tripping over boxes but we are doing fine.  Aden has slept 11 or 12 hours a night since we have been here!  Friday night we had our first official guests.  Melissa, Adam, Ellen and Bev came over for dinner.  Aden was on his train waiting for everyone.

Hey Aunt Melissa!

Ok, enough of the train, let's play with the frog.

Aunt Bev didn't want to put Aden down.

We ordered out from Aldos in Holland.  Melissa took me up there in her cute new car.  There was quite a crowd there for take out.  They were so busy.  By the time we got back Aden was asleep already :-(

Of course I bothered everyone for a picture.  No one seemed to mind the mid 80's formica table.

Saturday morning, we found Aden rolling around in his crib.

It's still so cute when Aden stares at the bears.

The crawling is coming.  He's now getting up on his hands and knees and rocking back and forth.  He's not moving forwards yet but sometimes he goes backwards!

Forget the crawling, he's going right to walking!

We went to Kaplan's Furniture on Frankford Avenue.  We had been there before and liked what we saw.  Debbie the decorator spent the day there Friday and picked out stuff for the whole house.  She great with colors, patterns and textures and has really good taste.  Maybe a little too good, but we did order a sofa, bed and kitchen table!  Of course we won't see anything until the Summer.  Why we didn't order this stuff months ago, I have no idea, but we are excited!

Saturday night we went back to the City!  Amy made plans with some of the girls from her mommy and me class.  We went back to the condo to get the last of our stuff.  It was a warm night and South Street was packed.  It felt a little weird to be there.

We met Margo and Emily and their husbands at La Viola West.   Amy had connections to both the husbands so we had a lot to talk about.  May be I should have gone to overnight camp.  The food was great and we all had a great time.  We didn't get back to Holland to relieve Amy's parents until 12!
