So Friday morning, Aden still was not 100%. He was smiling again but when he coughed, it sounded like it came from deep in his chest. Amy thought I should take him to the doctor. On a recommendation we went to Children First in Newtown. It was quiet and there wasn't a wait. The doctor was nice but she said there wasn't much we could do for a cold. One ear had a little fluid so that was probably why he had the occasional crying fit. She said just double up on the Tylenol. He seemed a little better so I took him to Amy's school for a visit. The kids were so excited to meet him and Aden loved looking at them, and even pulling some hair. By the time we left, he was cranky and tired so I just took him home to sleep.
Amy's co-teacher Dawn and her husband Ray came for dinner. We brought in from Aldo's. What a surprise. We had fun hanging out. Aden was still a little cranky. We really hate when he is sick.
Aden slept through the night and woke up better and more playful.
He is always excited to play with his house no matter how he feels.
Aunt Melissa came over in new Bohemian dress, lookin' good Mel, and we went shopping.
First, a stop at Isaac Newtons in Newtown for lunch. Amy's dad met us.
Amy started using these stick on place mats.
Aden was checking out the cute girl.
Mommy got a new haircut.
Saturday night, a whole bunch of us headed into town to have dinner at La Viola. The teenage babysitter from a few weeks ago was brave enough to take on a sick baby. Turns out, after playing a little, he fell right asleep. I had thought the dinner would be quick and then we could maybe hit a bar but we didn't finish until after 11. Dinner was long but good and we had fun talking. Even Marc drove in from New York to join us! V Factory was playing in Old City but not until 12:30 so we had to pass. Hopefully the concert went well. We were gone five and a half hours, this babysitting thing can get expensive at $12 an hour.
