Then the Storm Came

Sunday morning we woke up and it was cloudy. I spoke with my parents back home and they said the weather was horrible. Crazy thunderstorms and flooding. We figured we had some time before the storms got to us so we decided to go for a walk. But first, Aden wanted to play. Aden loves to stand by this table, which is not a great idea. It is glass with sharp edges and he has a little cut on his chin to prove it!

We actually didn't make it very far before the rain started. We did walk into an open house in Longport. We found the house that Amy and I and Melissa and Mark should buy!

Lauren was bonding with Chloe. That made Aden jealous. You should have seen Aden flirting with Lauren. He really liked her.

Melissa and I ran to her car in the pouring rain and floods to check on it, it was fine of course. Here is the aftermath.

It got really deep! The sidewalk was under water.

Eventually the rain stopped and the floods abated, so we packed the car and headed to Pennsauken to meet my family at the Pub to celebrate my dad's birthday. Obviously Aden can't read or he would have known better! He is lucky they let him in!

There was so much to look at.

But the long weekend finally caught up with him.

Hey Bubbie!

Happy Birthday Grandpop!

A huge piece of chocolate cake for us all to share.

Even Aden! It's amazing how tentative he is when you put regular food in front of him. He eats, but slowly. But if it's cake, there is no hesitation. It's gone as soon as he can reach it!
