On the way back, it was even hotter, so we decided to walk on the beach near the water. We walked down the boardwalk till the end, then went on to the beach.
Saw some nice houses. We aren't usually on this part of the beach and since there is no boardwalk, it's hard to see them.
We were both wearing Penn State shirts. A few people had comments about us being the Penn State committee.
We walked so far, we ended up in Egypt!
It took even longer to get back as we started running into people. Amy's aunt Judy with Alex and Justin, Adam and Ellen, the usual gang at our beach. Back to the house to shower and rest and bit then back to the beach. We just chilled until Mark and Amy came. There they are!

Amy made her self comfortable and was really concerned about Jodi Sweetin. Word quickly spread on the beach that Jamie Bromberg had her daughter Alissa last night. I love beach gossip!
There was this weird haze in the air most of the day. We heard it was from a forest fire in Virginia!
See how the building in the distance is fuzzy.
We are getting ready to go out and Melissa ran into our bathroom to get something. She comes out and says, "I don't get it, is that an 80's thing?" Of course we have no idea what she is talking about. She asks why we used hairbrushes?! She says no one in her generation uses them and it must be something to do with growing up in the 80's! Please tell me we aren't the only ones using brushes?!
So those of you who know the Margate, Ventnor, Atlantic City area, know that eating is a chore. First, your choice is either pizza or steak sandwiches or expensive Italian. There is really nothing in the middle. Also, there are so few places that if you don't make reservations before the Summer or a Saturday night, forget it. So, of course, when Paige came over at 7:30 and Melissa, Mark, Amy and I were still getting ready and we had no plans, I knew we were in trouble. I really didn't want to have to deal with a hungry Amy. We called a few places and they said, sure come in, at 11. There are couple of nice places with bars. We thought we could maybe sit at one of the bars and get food so first we walked to Sofia. They don't have bar food till after 9. It was now about 8. Tomatoes was packed. Maynards was Mark's choice, but just a dingy bar, so the girls passed. Presto took over for Lambertis at the marina. They had just opened and we heard some people had problems there the night before but since we called the Greenhouse and there was still a half hour wait, we walked to Presto. Jen and Scott were there. They said they got their food pretty fast so we stayed. We ordered about 8:30. The calamari and salads came right away. But then nothing. It was a full hour until some of the food came. The waitress tells Melissa they ran out of eggplant. They tell her that an hour after she orders! Paige and Mark both got chicken parm. Paige got hers after the hour but it was another half hour till Mark got his, which Melissa shared. The food came out sporadically. Amy's parents showed up around 9:45 and were told there was no food left at all! It was their 3rd night, but it was tough. In the end, the food was pretty good.
The kids went to Atlantic City. Amy and I met Adam and Ellen at the Greenhouse, which was weirdly empty. I can't believe I got Amy there 3 times already this Summer!
