Poor Amy, or lucky Amy depending on how you look at it. The kids had a half day because of the heat but she had to stay the whole day. Stuck there but no kids. It's amazing to me that these schools still don't have air conditioning. She does have it in her room because she has special needs kids, so for her it wasn't too bad. The rest of the teachers had to hang in the library. Back in the City, Melissa came over and the three of us walked to Sabrinas to eat. It was still in the upper 90's and Amy quickly felt uncomfortable but kept going. It was closed! We started walking back towards South and went down Bainbridge to check out Beau Monde, closed, Houka, closed, South Street Slouvaki, closed, the Kosher place, closed. At this point, you can imagine how unhappy Amy was but we kept going. Manny Browns, open but loud and smokey, so we ended up at our safety restaurant, La Fourna on South Street. Phew. We should have have just gone there first, we always like it there and they are very nice.
We stopped at Superfresh to pick up ice cream sandwiches, ice cream drumsticks and peanut butter and somehow we were magically transported to Tel Aviv! I have no explanation for this. (yes, the ice cream was good)
My sister Beverly joined Facebook so everyone should friend her!
Another day of working in the un-airconditioned factory. I'm going to get ice cream for the guys. I'll have to go to Sam's club to look for some bulk packaging. Need about 150. What should I get?
