Nomi and Roland
Amy and I went to Nomi and Roland's wedding in Greenville Delaware at the Greenville Country Club. It had rained all day and we were worried as it was to be an outside wedding but the anti-rain dance worked and the sky cleared up just in time! The setting was beautiful and the bride was gorgeous. It was a destination wedding as most of the guests were from Canada, California and even Israel. Everyone was super friendly and had we had a great time!
They special ordered from France a cake topper that they saw in a catalogue. It was a groom on a bike with the bride on a sidecar. It arrived and was only about one inch tall! If you look closely, you can see it!

We were down the Shore last weekend but only took pics of a dog. Hopefully I'll do better next weekend. I'm stuck in class today and tomorrow reading Harry Potter.

Under the Sea.
These are from the cheap, $10 underwater camera. They would have been so much better if my camera had lived :-(
That's Lana'i over my shoulder.
Humuhumunukunukuapua'a!!! I chased the poor thing around!
This is a story. Before we left I saw an article in a Hawaiian magazine, thanks Jason, about a guy in Honolulu making custom sneakers. They said rappers were flying to Hawaii just to buy his sneakers. The picture in the article was of his Humu sneakers! I had to have them. I had trouble figuring out contact info so I gave the magazine to the concierge at the Four Seasons and asked him to track them down for me. There was 1 pair left and they were my size! They shipped them to my house and I'm wearing them now! (blow it up!)

Lana'i to Maui to Home
We woke up that last day in Lana'i pretty sad it was coming to an end. We put off packing and went down to the beach early. It was another perfect day. I went snorkling and got a some good shots of a Humu that I was terrorizing. I will post those later. Amy was done with the water.
View from our room.
Our room.
A girl playing with her iPhone!
Hotel from beach. A bit of a walk.
The garden's around the hotel.
Waiting for the ferry with our 6 bags.
Lahaina, Maui. Crazy tree.
Lahaina had tons of shopping and very little air conditioning. We spent about 5 hours walking around. We ate at a Chicago style pizzeria.
The last sunset.
The airport was about 40 minutes away. We hit Kmart to get Amy a book and some snacks. The airport line was outside and it was so hot. We thought we recognized people from the way there. Amy was helping a young girl come up with her list for the perfect guy. We took off around 11:30.

Back
It's Tuesday. We got back Sunday around 6. We had a bit of a delay in Phoenix, which was 93 degrees at 7 in the morning. The first leg was painful. We tried to sleep but it was so uncomfortable. From Phoenix to Philly was pretty quick. She did her laundry, I haven't started yet. My sleep is still totally off. We spent that last day in Lahaina, Maui. I will make a post soon with pictures from that day. So, I'm not finished quite yet. Also, I got my underwater pics back so check back soon!

This is it!
I was hoping to have some more time to say something profound but of course we are late again. We moved our ferry up till 2 so we can spend more time in Lahaina shopping. I will do some follow up posts when we get home. I'm glad we kept you entertained for a couple of weeks. Maybe if you all contribute, we will go on a vacation again soon! Have a great weekend!
Will he ever just leave her alone?
This was another one of those crazy, maybe I planned too much, days.
The view from a very early breakfast.
The road between our hotel and the one in the mountains is lined with these really cool looking Cooke Pine Trees.
The older trees are huge and lead up to the Four Seasons Lana'i Lodge at Koele. This was the headquarters for the Dole pineapple plantation that used to be here.
The ranch was right next to The Lodge.
I'm on Ace and Amy is on Dallas. Dallas was the biggest horse but supposedly the most gentle. We took a two hour ride around the top of the island. It was very dusty, windy and cold but scenery was spectacular. Amy got a kick out of the horses. Mine kept stopping to eat and hers just kept stopping. "Kick him harder Amy!" By the time we were done, our butts hurt and we were covered in dust. It was fun though.
We cleaned up a little at The Lodge then ate in the small town.
Then we rented a Jeep. Most of the roads are not paved and you need a Jeep to get anywhere. We first went to the Garden of the G-ds. Not quite the garden we had anticipated after 45 mintutes of bouncing around. That as all we needed after riding a horse for two hours. Amy was the navigator. I'm not sure how we made it back!
The Garden?!?
We then drove to Shipwreck Beach. It was down the other side of the Island from our hotel. We decended down a long winding road with red clay cliffs on either side. Beautiful views of Maui and Molokai the whole way. At the bottom, it was warm and windy so the sands were blowing everywhere. We were now covered with dust and sand.
Some scary looking houses, this was Friday the 13th so I guess appropriate.
The shipwreck!
Tons of giant sea turtles!
There were more places to drive but we both had enough and returned the car early and went back to the hotel. She slept from 3 to 7, which it is now. We decided to take the late ferry back tomorrow so we are just going to sit by the pool and relax before the long trip home. Our flight is at 11 Sat. night.
This is from a couple of nights ago. Just wanted you to see how pretty Amy looked in her new red dress.
