Ride the Duck Sauce (a Wheel of Fortune Before and After)

Driving to work Friday, I grabbed a blurry picture in the City of trees in bloom!  Pretty soon the City will be so pretty, but my allergies will suck.

The day was a blur, but I did have lunch at Nifty Fifties with Adam and Scott.  It was crowded with kids.  Why weren't they in school?  This was the view on the way home, pretty cool.

Friday night, Amy and I drove to Scott's place.  We had never seen it before.  It's those new condos they made out of the old Naval Hospital around 23rd and Christian.  Scott was in the original building which is over 100 years old.  They were really did a great job fixing it up.

Saturday morning, Amy and I went to the gym then rushed back to meet Leslie and Keith.  They went to the Frida Kahlo exhibit at the Philadelphia Art Museum (where I worked briefly), then Leslie took a leisurely 3 mile run through the park.  I will never be able to do that!  It was a nice day and South Street was extra busy. They parked at our place then we walked to Copa for lunch.  The stupid duck boat passed by a few times.  I guess it's something you have to do once, especially if you have kids, but it's not really that fun except for when you go into the Delaware River, that's kind of cool.

Keith and Leslie are from Florida and survived their first Winter.  They lucked out it was an easy one, we will get them some snow next year!  That's the USS New Jersey over their left shoulders.

Haagen Dazs!   Did you catch that special on the Food Network, where they had a contest to find the newest flavor?  Well I tried the winning recipe, Sticky Toffee Pudding.  It was great!  Amy had Rocky Road, yuck.

Saturday night, Melissa, Amy and I went with Adam and Ellen to Duck Sauce in Newtown.  Amy's aunt Judy was there with some of her friends, who we are also friends with.  You would think we live in a small town, not a City of 3 million as we seem to know people wherever we go.  Amy's belly is growing!  I can feel him moving now!  We always have a nice time with Adam and Ellen, but they must be getting tired of the baby talk, they aren't even married yet, Dec., and people all around them are pregnant or trying to get pregnant.  Melissa was taking a break from studying.  She has her comprehensive exam at Temple of Monday.  They can ask anything from over the last 6 years!  She will do great, I'm not worried.
