This is Pennsylvania Hospital a few blocks away. It's the oldest hospital in the country and where Aden would have been born if we had not chosen Abington.
It was a beautiful night and Amy was finally walking without a limp!
Washington Square Park
This is the memorial to the Revolutionary War soldiers.
Then Aden wanted to see the Liberty Bell. It just moved to this new building a couple of years ago.
Here is Independence Hall where the Liberty Bell once rang and where the Declaration of Independence and the US Constitution were both debated and signed and where the Second Continental Congress resided. Before 9/11, I would ride my bike over and sit on the steps and read but now it's too heavily guarded.
The Bell!
They just redid this whole area. It's very pretty.
We then walked through Old City. Many people were taking advantage of the weather and eating outside.
Aden is ready to join the gym!
Uncle Bill was thrilled to meet Aden. He has to be credited with keeping Amy in such great shape throughout the pregnancy. She worked out with him until the 9th month when her breathing became more difficult. During delivery, the OB commented on how strong Amy's abdominal muscles were!
Amy has her follow-up with the OB on Monday. She is hoping to be cleared to work out again! I guess Aden will be getting some gym time after all!
Stay tuned for the rest of the crazy evening.
