Back to Sea

Saturday morning Aden tried on his new dinosaur outfit.

Hi Melissa!

Melissa, Lauren and I went for a ride on Amy's dad's boat.  He went and got the boat and picked us up at a pier near the house.

It was a beautiful day.

We went out into the ocean.  The water was very calm.  You can see Lucy the Elephant here.

Atlantic City in the distance.

Convention Hall on the left, where the Miss American pageant used to be.  Trump, Bally's and Caesar's casinos and the new shopping pier out over the water.  That's where I made Amy the candy bar with her name on it.

The end of the island.  They are building a new casino past the Taj Mahal and the Showboat casinos.

This is the inlet between Atlantic City and Brigantine Island.

You are allowed to drive your car on the beach in Brigantine.

On the backside of the island is the Borgata, Trump Marina and Harrah's.  The Borgata and Harrahs both just added new big towers.  We could continue around the island to get home but there are a lot of houses there and it is mostly a no wake zone so you have to go really slow and it takes forever so we want back the way we came.
Hey Mel.

Amy's dad looking cool behind the wheel.

Hey, put your hands back on the wheel!

Me and Lauren

He dropped us back off, bye!

Right at the Pier is the restaurant Presto we had been at a few times.  I met Amy, her mom and Aden for lunch.  I didn't feel queasy from the boat so I was able to eat.

Poor Aden still can only look at the food.

Everyone went to the beach.  We decided to take turns.  I went for a little while.  Aunt Judy and family joined us.  Everyone was looking for the baby.  Not today.  It was so nice out.  Amy's mom volunteered to go back and relieve Amy who was able to come.

Saturday night, Amy's parents agreed to watch Aden so Amy I and could get out a little.  We met Ellen and Adam at Sofia and ate until almost 11.  When we asked Amy's mom how Aden was, she said he was "challenging."  I guess that was a diplomatic way of saying he cried a lot!
