How Would You Pronounce Aden?

Amy, Melissa, Mark and I drove out to the Cheesecake Factory in Cherry Hill with Melissa's car.  She has been living at her apartment, Mark's apartment, my house, her parent's house and the Shore for the last two years.  Needless to say, her car held most of her clothes and books.  She said it was ok that I post these.  She's a pretty amazing girl, living and working and studying everywhere and she still able to do so well.  All A's!

We were debating the baby's name.  One of the choices is Aden.  The traditional spellings of Aiden or Aidan is actually a different Irish name.  Aden is a Hebrew name that means handsome.  Amy and her mom are teachers and are sensitive to kids with different names.  They are worried that people will mispronounce his name if we spell it Aden.  Melissa took it upon herself to find out.  While we were waiting at the Cheesecake Factory, which actually wasn't too bad, she walked around and interviewed people.  She tried to keep it diverse and asked people of all ages and races how they would pronounce "Aden."  This was pretty funny.  The people really got into it and gave their opinions but every single person pronounced it Aaaden with a long "a" not like Ahhden with a short "a."
