Margate Fall Funfest!

Sorry I haven't updated sooner. It's been pretty crazy. I quit my job! After nine years with the City I am going into the family business. If anyone out there needs swimming pool chemicals, you know where to find me! We have three new babies in our lives. Rebecca and Leo had Genevive on Sept 21.

Then Larry and Jessica had Noah Stephan Jonas on Sept. 25.

Alan and Ina had Sloane on the same day!

Amy, Melissa and I had dinner with Adam and Ellen at Sabrinas in the Italian Market. Good as always, then we came to our place for dessert and Wii. Saturday morning Amy and I drove down the Shore for the Margate Fall Funfest! It was a beautiful weekend. Warm and sunny.

It was very crowded and we knew many people. There were also many locals and some had shirts that said "Go Back to Philly!"

After dinner at Cousins in Ocean City, Amy and I and her parents ended up at Two Cents Plain, an ice cream parlor in Margate. Turns out it was the last night and all they had was vanilla, chocolate and mint chocolate chip. By the time we left, they only had vanilla. We all shared waffles and ice cream.

We went back to the Funfest on Sunday. The food was pretty good. They had a dog show. Couldn't pull Amy away from that baby Golden!

Sad Week

As you know, my uncle Stephan passed away suddenly last Tuesday. We all took it really hard so I thank everyone out there for their love, support and understanding.

On Saturday, Rebecca and Leo reopened their new coffee and tea store in Newtown. There was an outdoor festival that day. Everyone, including my aunt went. It was a much needed distraction.

West New York, New Jersey

Friday night Amy and I went to synagogue. Since we got married there, we get a free membership for the year. They had a new member barbeque and service. Big crowd. Everyone came up to us and welcomed us as if we were really new even though our families have been members for 30 years. Met the new rabbi and his wife. Nice young couple. Back to Amy's house to sleep.

Saturday, we went to my cousin Rebecca's house in Princeton for her baby shower.

Then up to North Jersey. Here is the view from Jason and Rachel's apt.

The pool

Never enough exercise for Amy

It was the first time we had been in that area. Just North of Hoboken. Tons of apartments, condos and houses. All with amazing views of NY.

We drove into the City and walked around Little Italy. We had a great meal at a random place.

Ferraros

We met Jason and Rachel's friends and my friend Howard at Naked Lunch in SoHo. The place was full of bachelorette parties, i.e., lots of drunk girls. They played 80's music and Amy lead us in the dancing! There till almost 3!

The Mummers!

Amy and I went to the Mummer's Museum for a free concert. They do it every Thursday. Quite an interesting crowd. I'm going to try video. Let me know what you think.
