Do We Have to Go Home?

Here's a quick post from last Sunday.  We all got a good night's sleep with no kids to bother us!  I went with Melissa, Mark and Honey to get coffee.
Doesn't look it but Margate was pretty crowded.
Honey woke up Amy.
I made a nice breakfast, then Melissa and Mark left.  We went shopping.  One of Amy's favorite places to get stuff for the kids.
I was in Dino's but I didn't get anything for myself.  Amy got some tuna to bring home.  I did get some chocolate turtles from Jageilky's of course.
On the way out the pickle ball courts were packed!
We got back and the kids were making a gingerbread house.

Needs more icing.
Mollie helped too.
Yes Noah, you have 10 fingers.
Chef Vola leftovers for dinner!
Is that me or Eli?
Science time.

Pretty rainbow Ariel!

Quick Getaway

Today was Ariel's birthday!  We had a fun day.  I will tell you all about it later.  It was a pretty quiet weekend overall though.  More of a glimpse of what's to come.  Going to be a boring winter.  Anyway, back to last Saturday.  I don't know what came over Aden, but he actually left the basement to pick up leaves!
The boys are getting ready for the 100th day of school.  Although that's not till the Spring.

Doing some decorating.
Playing with the neighbors.

Amy, Melissa, Mark, Honey and I had a quick one night getaway to the shore.
We totally scored for dinner.  We got takeout from Chef Vola, pretty and impossible, and Steve and Cookies, practically impossible.  There was stuff from both restaurants we wanted.
OMG was all of it amazing.

No kids!  Just a dog!
Oh there she is!
We were so full, we had to go for a long walk.  It was so warm!

We talked and watched tv till late.

Tomahawk Chop

It's Thanksgiving night!  I'm am eating my third piece of Pecan Pie as I sit here.  I'm also listening to a very loud owl outside.  So with all the exhaustive prep work I did to smoke the turkey, there was one thing I missed.  The turkey was too big for the smoker!  I ended up cutting it in half and I was able to squeeze in the 2 halves but I wasn't sure how it would come out with the breast so exposed.  Well, I have to say, it was pretty awesome!

Last Thursday morning it was freezing!  Literally!

After school, Aden had tennis.  It was really quiet there.

Eli got to work on the Hanukkah decorations.
Rachel came for cheer.

The twins were getting into and of course Aden had to ruin it.

Here we go Eli...
And he's up!
Ariel is so confident in the air.

Uh Ariel, did you notice that doughnut next to you?
Eli sure noticed his.

Friday morning it was freeing again.  I was able to grab a quick shot of Aden running out the door for school in shorts and a t shirt!
Ariel was more appropriately dressed!

I found this Christmas tree ornament.  2020 - The Dumpster Fire!
That night, I cooked a ridiculous tomahawk steak on the smoker.  I forgot to take a picture of it when it was done.
We found a Bingo game in the basement.

The steak was awesome.  Aden ate almost the whole thing!  Have a great weekend!
