Las Vegas

Surprise!  Amy and I had a quick trip to Las Vegas!  Last Friday, we had an early flight.  

Pretty scenery.

We landed in Las Vegas after 4 1/2 pretty uneventful hours.  We both hadn't been there in a while.  Like 10 years.  

We saw the Sphere on the way to the hotel.  So cool!

We stayed at the Palazzo.  It was beautiful.  

We took a walk through the Venetian mall to get lunch.  No gondola rides for us.  

There were robots pouring and mixing drinks!

Nice apples.  

So we were there to see the Dead play at the Sphere.  There was a Grateful Dead exhibit in the mall.

There were bears in the mall too!

We went to the pool for a bit.  It was almost 100 degrees!

So pretty.  There were several pools.  

We found a shady spot in one of the pools and relaxed and got some drinks!

We got ourselves together and headed to dinner at Wolfgang Pucks place at our hotel.  

Everything so fancy and good.  

The service was incredible.  

Steak anyone?

We then wandered through the Venetian.  

Then headed out onto the strip. It was still hot out!

We didn't walk that far.  Amy wasn't feeling the vibe.  

This area wasn't here the last time we were here.  

Even though I was full and couldn't finish dinner, I had to try and In & Out Burger.

Amy thought I was nuts but I really enjoyed it!

We got to see the volcano erupt at the Mirage.  

I'm glad we got to see it because they are about to tear it down and redo the whole hotel!

I wandered over to see the Sphere.  

So excited for the show!
