Cheer Comp 2

It's a very stormy Monday night.  We made it back from cheer just before the thunderstorms started.  Eli is looking out the window totally fascinated.

Last Sunday, Amy took the twins to youth group event at Urban Air.
I took Ariel to Central Jersey for a cheer competition.  It's a really pretty area.
The team waiting their turn.
My buddy Jared and Bella.
There they go!
They did a pretty good job.
Ariel had small fall.

Go girls!
They came in second!  Not too bad!
We stopped by our favorite farmer's market.
Yum!
We brought some goodies home.
Aden's friend came to dinner and Aden made chicken cutlets.  He did a great job!

Bev's Big Party

Last Saturday was quiet during the day.  Eli and I played some basketball.

That night was Bev's sort of surprise 50th birthday party.  We went early to help set up.  Johnson's Popcorn!
Beautiful flowers.  Mom did a great job with the decorations.
How is she 50?
Surprise!  She knew about the party but not all the guests.
Hugging her oldest nephew.
High school friends!  I hadn't seen them in 30 years and they all thought I looked good so I'm happy with that!
It was a great crowd.

Everyone had fun catching up.

Cake time!

There were college friends and ballet friends.

Lots of cousins.
The boys got a little wild.
Nice family pic with the birthday girl.

We met up with friends at Parx to celebrate Alison's 40th.

Cheer Banquet

Last Friday, we found out Eli was going to be in the district art show.
Ariel had her private with Coach Steve.

Then we had the long delayed end of season banquet for the Indians at Giuseppes.
Most of the girls came.  It was nice to see them.
A bunch we haven't seen since Nationals in Orlando in early December.
Someone had a face full of bread.
Dinner was good.

They made a video and photo montage from the 7 years the girls were together.
The girls were getting good laughs at seeing themselves at 6 but I was bawling my eyes out!
They all got awards.  Ariel's was for showmanship.
She asked me if showmanship was a good thing or a bad thing.
The team gave the coaches awards as they are all retiring.
3rd place in the country baby!
Have a great weekend!
