Na Pali

Today we got to see the Na Pali coast of Kauai. If you look at the map, it's the upper left side of the island. No way to see it except by boat or helicopter. We took at small, rubber military type zodiac boat with 10 others. Amy's dad would love this. We drove really fast and even jumped waves. It was about a 5 hour trip.

Only 2 sugar refineries left in Hawaii, here is one.

We were surrounded by a pod of dolphins! They swam and jumped all around us! Some were jumping into the air and doing spins. There were so many. My camera got wet taking pics and stopped working. :-( . Still have Amy's camera.

Several movies were filmed on this spot. This is where R2D2 and C3PO were walking in the desert before they were caught by the Jawas!

This is just awesome. Click it to make it bigger.

The trees in the distance to the left are the beach we were at yesterday. We went the whole way around the other way. Now we have seen the whole island!

Snorkeling.

Our guide Brenden from Tahiti.

They took their time going to explain things, but different story coming back. Everyone got sore hanging on for dear life. They went at full speed for an hour and a half. There was another boat with us and we were racing. We would jump each other's wake and get splashed. Crazy. Went back to the pool and passed out. Fireworks tonight in Lihue, the capital.
