Jerry the Teacher

Amy's class was doing a section on chemistry. Ironically enough they learned about swimming pool chemicals. She asked me to come in and speak about them! We had a blast. I got my chemist to put together a fun experiment for me to bring. I had three of the kids come up and put on their goggles and gloves and pour in the three clear solutions. After a little mixing, it turned black, yellow, clear, black... for about 15 minutes. Cool. Amy did a great job, they knew all about chlorine and algae.

It was pajama day at Eleanor Roosevelt!

The mad scientist.

The kids in awe!

Saturday we drove out to the burbs for a dinner party. Amy's old neighbor Heather turned 25 and her mom had some people over. Here is Heather, Amy, Melissa and I.

The Birthday Girl Heather and her sister Tracy.

After the dinner party, we went to Maggios to hang out with Rose and Randy, Carrie, Evan, Adam and Ellen. It was the first time we saw Adam and Ellen since they got engaged at Penn State last week! Ellen was still stunned. (she wasn't expecting the proposal). Adam did a great job with the beautiful ring and the romantic hike around Penn State.

Carrie and Rose.

Amy's dad rode his Harley down to Children's Hospital to deliver presents to the kids!

Amy and I went to visit my cousin Rebecca at her store in Newtown. We finally go to see the baby Genevive. She was cute and small. I held her a while.
