Visiting Day at SSDC

Last Thursday, I was late getting Noah to camp so he got a ride to meet his bunk.  Lucky kid.  

We had visiting day at Southampton Summer Day Camp for Eli.  

Ariel came with us.

We watched him play soccer.

Ariel and I went to Target.  She's dangerous there.  

I took Eli to Dylan's to play.  First the trampoline.  

Then in the pool.

Last Friday, I drove Ariel back to camp.  We made several stops on the way.  Starbucks, of course.  Giant to get more stuff for her friends and then Dairy Queen to get a giant ice cream cake!  She was so excited to be back.  There were 3 other bags.  Her counselor met us and carried them.  

I went back home and we packed for the shore.  We headed out and had dinner at a diner in New Jersey on the way.  

They love those revolving doors.

S'Mores Experiment

Last Tuesday, I took Ariel to CHOP King of Prussia for an x ray.  It was such a nice place.  The waiting room was full of little kids with casts.  So sad for that to happen in the summer.  

Of course we did a little shopping at the King of Prussia Mall.  

I picked up Dave's Hot Chicken for lunch on the way back.  

I had golf lessons later that night.  

This was an amazing moment.  Ariel's bunk mates grabbed their counselor's phone and Facetimed her.  It was so sweet.  

They talked for a while before the phone was taken away.  The girls all missed Ariel and wanted her to come back.  

My parents came by to see Ariel.  

Last Wednesday, Ariel was still home.  We decided to try something we saw on Tiktok.  A new way to make s'mores.  

We got the fire going and brought everything outside.  

We put Reese's Peanut Butter Cups on the sticks.  

Then we dunked them in marshmallow fluff.  

Then we roasted that and put that in the between the graham crackers.   It was really good!

Bev even came by to get some.  

Then Melissa and Mark came by too.  

Honey wanted her smore.  

Cuddles for Ariel.  

The baby deer all came out to play.  

 

Frozen Yogurt

Last Monday, I took Ariel to Giant.  Hi Marty!  She got a list from all her friends of stuff they wanted her to bring back to camp.  This was one of several stops.  

We went to see Artie.

So cute.  

What have you been up to Eli?  

Oh man, he started another fort.  More for me to clean up.  

Vicky is his partner in crime.  

Then they went to play outside.  

I hope they stay friends.  They are really cute together.

I took Ariel to get some frozen yogurt that night.  I think every teen within 20 miles was there!
