Last Saturday, Aden and I headed to the airport early. There was no wait at security!
It was a quick 2 hour flight to Fort Lauderdale. We picked up our rental car and saw some cruise ships.
We drove to Miami and saw palm trees!
We went to our hotel in Coconut Grove, a small town near the University of Miami.
The view North towards Miami. You can just about see the Marlin's baseball stadium.
Nice view towards the ocean.
We walked around the town and did some shopping. Ariel's favorite store in the whole world! Of course I got her something.
Bookstore.
This is what I bought Ariel.
We found an Argentinian steakhouse for dinner. Aden shared my very yummy Argentinian wine.
Loretta & the Butcher
We both got awesome steaks.
With chimichurri sauce.
Great architecture.
We went back to the hotel to rest for a bit.
There was a park across the street.
Then we went back out. Dog in a bag.
We went to an ice cream place where the use liquid nitrogen.
Cool! I'm not sure what the nitrogen does. It tasted like ice cream!
We wandered around.
We checked out a sports bar where a lot of students hang out.
Then we went to an outdoor bar.
Aden got a drink and didn't get carded!
But we had an early morning and needed to head back. We passed by a closed but very lit up LoveShackFancy.
Such a cool vibe.
