And He's Back!

I went back to work after the surgery and Aden slept. When I got home, he was awake and seemingly back to himself. He was in a great, silly mood all night. Amy thought we should celebrate with some ice cream. (before dinner!)

For this, Aden would have surgery every day!

Some water to wash it down. He still won'y drink out of a regular cup or use a straw.

That hit the spot!

Some art work on the driveway.

It's more fun to draw on yourself!

We had a quick thunderstorm, then this cloud was left.

After Aden went to sleep, I set up Space Train Station in the basement.

This morning, I took Aden to see it and he was thrilled!

It's really meant for older kids but he played well with it.

Ok. time for daddy to go to work, it's all baby and mommy today!

New Ears!

Yay, it's over!!! We let Aden stay in his crib until the last possible minute then ran him to the car. He was really upset that he didn't get his milk. Thankfully St. Mary's is close. We did have to wait a bit. Aden was squirming and crying a bit but not too bad. They finally gave him some sedatives. They made him goofy. He was excited to be wheeled back to the OR in the wagon. It only took a couple of minutes for the tubes to be put in and they came to get us. He was hysterical waking up. He bit my chin so hard, he drew blood! Three bottles of juice later, he calmed down. We hung out and watched Sesame Street a while, then headed home. By the time we got home, he was laughing and asking for pancakes. We are so happy he feels better already. The doctor said that not only were his ears really clogged, he had another infection! Now we can do topical antibiotics! No more of that horrible white stuff for him to drink.

Yesterday, he was a mess. He felt so sick the poor thing.

Body by Whole Milk

It's Monday morning and things are not going well. We have actually been looking forward to Aden getting his ear tubes tomorrow because he has just not been himself. We had the pre-admission screening on Friday and they said the only thing that might stop it would be a cold. Well, wouldn't you know it he wakes up with a cold today. We are on our way to the doctors in a few minutes. Ugh.

Friday, after a quick trip to the hospital, we packed up the car and headed to the Shore. Aden was ready for the beach. Get these clothes off! (body by whole milk)

Friday night, we got down late and just went to sleep. Saturday morning, I had baby duty while Amy did errands. Eventually, we made it to the beach. Adam and Ellen joined us.

Even uncle Mark was able to come. But he had to better luck then the rest of us trying to get Aden in the sand. He was not happy about it.

Look at this face. Poor thing.

Beautiful day. Justin is back from the Navy!

He liked to look, but not touch, the ocean.

We got him to sleep in the stroller, which is really hard to push in the sand.

Some beach shots. More crowded then last week.

Finally asleep!

Saturday night, we had dinner at Barrels.

Rompers everywhere!

We stopped by Jen's and Aden had a blast with Jonah and Jacob.

Sunday morning we had a Father's Day brunch at Judy and Steve's.

My new Facebook profile pic!
We went home after brunch so my dad could see Aden.

Report Card! (part 1)

Last Day of School!!!

Sorry I have been preoccupied the last few days. This end of the school year thing is harder then is sounds. I can't wait for three months of not having to hear about progress reports! Wednesday, made a quick trip to the City. The silver building is where I used to work. I ate many a lunch in this park.

When I got to school yesterday, Aden and Chloe were playing. They might not be in the same class next year, which is really sad. She is almost 3 months older then Aden and they will have enough kids to make the classes closer in age.

Aden got a new tricycle!

This morning, before we left, he had to go for a ride.

He doesn't like posing anymorebut he does love his tricycle. He was quite hysterical when I told him we had to leave.

The last lunch I have to make till September! I will not miss that! He never eats it. I wonder why I bother.

Last day of school!!! I guess we should have a graduation party! He will no longer be a Caterpillar I! it'a amazing how fast it goes. We were hesitant at first about the school but he had a great year. He learned so much from them and they really took great care of him.
