Yo Ho Yo Ho a Pirate's Life for Me!
The second morning we woke up at Disney's private island, Castaway Cay. Ariel was in her bed for at least part of the night!
We are here!
Gotta love room service.Jake was taking pictures.
Uh oh, hide Ariel, I see Captain Hook!
On the island we found a snowman! Hey Olaf!
Captain Jack Sparrow!
Welcome to Castaway Cay.
It was huge! Three large beach areas. One only for adults. And a water park!
We only made it to the first beach. Ariel was not feeling well.
She was a mess.
Aden and Grandpa floated off.
All the way into the ocean!Dance party with the characters.
Ariel seemed to get worse so we cut it short and headed back to the boat.
We were pretty much the only ones there!
We watched several Disney movies by the pool.
She took a nap then seemed a little better.
My panoramic shot of the beach from the boat.
So we had some issues with the planning of the trip. I drove Amy crazy with all my calls to Disney. We found this in the cabin. A note of apology, sweets and stuffed animals.
The sun is setting so it's finally Pirate Night!
Aden didn't want to bring his costume. Good thing they gave us bandannas. People were really dressed up.
The deck was packed.
First a show from the characters.Which lead to a fireworks show.
Then a dance party all night!
Look how the kids beds were made that night. Cute.

The Rise of Atlantis
Everyone slept in their beds last night for the first time in 9 days! In fact, I had trouble waking the kids for school.
We woke up the first morning approaching the Bahamas. You can see the Atlantis resort on the horizon.
Nassau! Have't been here in a while. The princesses were out!
Breakfast in the Cinderella room.
Ariel was finally not scared of someone - Ariel!
Aden was ready to go!
Welcome to the Bahamas!
Pretty ship. The drive to Paradise Island. Our boat is second from the left. Check out the Oasis of the Seas on the right. Huge!
She had a fever when she got up but seemed better after the Tylenol.
I have been wanting to see Atlantis for a long time. It's a huge property. First we walked past pools of sting rays.
Then sharks!That's the casino.
More of the hotel.
The real beach. It was windy so we ended up sticking to the man made beach.
These aquariums were everywhere.
You can swim in them!
Nemo!
The kids wrestled in the lobby.
Beautiful place.
Ok, time to hit the beach!
The water was a bit on the chilly side but it was hot and sunny!
We checked out some of the pools. There are 13!
Tunnels under the shark tanks.
My girl was feeling good but it sadly wasn't to last.
We are definitely going to come back here and spend some time. So much to explore including a very large water park!
Back to the ship.Dinner that night was at the Enchanted Gardens.
Ariel was very hot again. We took her to the doctor, the very expensive doctor who said she had a 102 fever but ears and nose were clean. She was also negative for strep. He tonsils were a bit swollen. Said there wasn't much we could do.
That night we let Aden start being a detective. We went to the starting station where he was told about the stolen paintings on the ship and given a badge and a map to solve the mystery.
Various painting around the ship came to life when he held up the badge and gave him clues!
He wasn't the only one obsessed, kids all over the ship were running from picture to picture. I will put up some videos of this later, it was really cool.
