B'nai Mitzvah, the Finale

The proud parents with Alexa and Jared.

Scoping out the guys.

The food was served in different areas.  You got it and brought it back to your lounge.  The first course was Asian inspired.  Pad Thai, lettuce wraps and tuna.  Later came the meat and potatoes.

It wasn't quite the atmosphere for a three year old but Brianna had a blast!

A rare rest period, we danced the whole night!  That's why you are tired today Mel!

The lounge next to ours.  I think these were friends of the parents.

Jeff and Clarisse.

Amy was dancing too.

Me and Sandy, the beautiful hostess.

Mark and Clarisse.  That's how they came dressed!

Dave, the grandfather, and his friend had a way with the disco skaters.  Yes, there were dancers and girls on roller skates.

The next time we are all together like this could be a wedding??!?!

Dawn and I went to Hebrew school together.  It was great to reconnect.  Her husband is friends with the father, Elliot.

Brianna really likes Mark.

Me and the thrilled grandparents Judy and Dave. (Amy's aunt Judy's uncle and Aunt for those of you trying to figure out the connection)  Happy Birthday Judy!

Little Morgan.  Sister of Jared and Alexa.

The desserts came out and were very different.  My favorite was the chocolate banana hot pressed paninis!

It was great to see Elaine and Edmund again so soon.  They flew this time from Atlanta.  I think I said that already.  The next time we see them, we will be on the beach in July!

Marc's big surprise was the band V Factory that he represents.  They are a hot new boy band with a song on the charts and an album on the way.  They did several numbers and everyone loved it.  The kids were screaming.

After the concert, they hung with the kids, took pictures and signed autographs.

The kids were a bit enthusiastic.

They supplied tube socks and sweats for the girls.  That was a nice touch.

Adam and Brianna made it till the end, after 12.

The band posed with Alex, Jared, Drew, Morgan and all the cousins.

The room was draped beautifully.

Amy bonded with the boys in the band.  They were really nice guys.  They are playing in Philly Saturday night so we might be seeing them again soon.  In Philly, you can hear their song Love Struck on Q 102.

Some popcorn for the long trip upstairs.  I'm eating some of it as I'm typing!  We really had a great time.  I haven't danced that much in years.  Aden had a great time with my parents as you can see on my sister's Facebook pictures, so it was a very successful first time away for Amy.  I will post some videos later!
