The End of an Era

It's Sunday night and we are back from the Shore and the kids are asleep.  We aren't finished yet because we have to get Aden ready for camp tomorrow.  He's very excited.  Ariel starts on Tuesday.  Before I get into the weekend, I have some pics from last week.

Aden and I drove into the City Thursday afternoon and waited in a long line for...
Philly Comic Con 2014!  You might remember we went last year and a comic book artist drew Aden as a zombie!  Today he was Captain America.
 Aden the X Man.
He really, really, really wanted a real sword!
Not sure what that creature was.
There were tons of comic book artists there making comic books.  That was really cool.  Aden loved to watch.
 People really take this seriously.
He could not decide which figure to get. Ended up with Hawk Eye.
Ariel would have loved the Frozen dolls.

These real metal Captain America shields were $600!
 For Bev.
Also for Bev and any other Doctor Who fans out there.
Of course Aden also wanted a working light saber.
But he settled for a foam sword.
Roads?  Where we are going, we don't need roads!
I bought stuff from this guy last year.
We walked a few blocks to meet Lauren for dinner.  Aden being dramatic about all the walking.
 Where is Aunt Lauren?
The pizza was awesome at Zavino on 13th.
Then it was time for gelati.
 What to get?

 There she is!
 Thanks for hanging Aunt Lauren!
Aden seemed pretty at home walking around the city.
So Friday was the end of an era.  Aden's last day at Breezy Point School.  He had 5 great years there and I really credit them with how great a young man he is becoming.  He also made some life long friendships.  Ms. Jill was sad it was her last day with Ariel.  I think they hugged and cuddled all day.
Amy and I went to get the kids together.
Ariel, as every kid there, loved crazy cars.
Bye Breezy Point!  Thanks for everything!
