Wildwood Cheer Competition

Last Sunday, Ariel and I got up and packed up and headed out the door.
We drove the 1/2 hour down to Wildwood.
Tessa's mom Katey did Ariel's hair and makeup.
She loves this stuff.
We finished up and headed to the Wildwood Convention Center.
On the way, we saw some cool water slides.  Eli would love this.
We were really early but we went to watch some of the other Airborne teams.
We ran into Coach Steve.
This was the our neighbor Alex's team.  Our friend Lynde is the coach.  They did great.
Then we went for a walk on the boardwalk.  It was very cold and not much was open.  Usually this is in April and more is open but on a cold February day, forget it.
We did get a sweatshirt.

I got Ariel to pose a bit.

Dave and Julia met us back at the convention center.
Juliet's team did great.
This was Ariel's team right before they competed.
They did so awesome!  I was shaking the whole time and was barely able to record it.  Ariel, for once, wasn't nervous!  She was excited to go.
I can't show the recording yet.
They just learned the pyramid the week before and they did it perfectly!
Look at Coach Steve in the front going through the routine with them.  They were great!
They deserved some dippin' dots after that!

We hung around waiting for judging.

We got tired of waiting so we hit the candy store down the boardwalk.
The girls all did well there.

A few last minute TikToks.
All the Airborne girls before judging.
All the team came out.
Ariel's team hit zero!  No deductions!
They came in first!  Of course it might have helped that they had no competition.  That was actually a bummer.  It would have been fun for them to beat other teams.
I took home Tessa and Juliet.  We stopped in Cape May for a yummy dinner.
While we drove all the way home, Amy was at Top Golf with the twins.  There was a Mother Son event from school.
