This is Wednesday’s post. Last Monday was a big day too. I woke up early and went for a run.
I haven't been on this path along the beach in decades! Here I go! It was really hot and humid so I had to push through it.
Pretty view of the beach.
Some of the art deco hotels.
This was cool. The city had exercise equipment on the beach and people were working out!
Back to the room. Got to love that view.
We had a nice breakfast.
Look at that crazy sky. So much for the sun the day before.
We took a walk to Lincoln Road Mall. Amy and I have hung here many times in the past.
The Nike Store was crazy.
For Ariel. Lulu. Sephora and Starbucks in a row!
This is where the Nexxt Cafe used to be. Our favorite restaurant.
I have pics of Aden and Ariel as babies playing here.
We got the car then drove back over the causeway to downtown Miami.
Aden loved the little islands with the huge houses.
Then we saw the cruise ships. The Wonder of the Seas was there. We saw later that day, it had to return to port because there was a fight on board!
Look at this crazy bridge they are building.
The University of Miami was like 7 miles South.
We parked and walked onto campus and there was a Clinique truck set up.
They were giving out samples.
Aden got to see half the girls on campus at one time!
Such a pretty campus.
The Union.
This is the new dorm they are finishing right now. Wow.
Aden got some food for lunch.
We had a really nice presentation. The girl was full of great information. Then we went on a tour.
It was so lively with all the kids buzzing around.
Sophomore housing.
Our guide was great.
What's there not to love!
Classrooms.
We had such a great day. We even got to hang with a Junior we know there. Everyone we talked to was so enthusiastic.
We drove around the the area, Coconut Grove and Coral Springs. We even found a LoveShackFancy for Ariel! We stopped at a famous old Cuban restaurant for dinner.
Then we went to the airport and flew home. We got to the house around 1 am.
