George Washington

Last Thursday was Christmas.  Stella was always looking for food.
I took Eli to see Washington cross the Delaware.  He actually did that right near our house on December 25, 1776.  They reenact it every year.
It was a nice day and very crowded.

There were soldiers everywhere!

These are replicas of the boats they used.
There's the river.  People were watching from the bridge.

These are the huts the soldiers stayed in.

The soldiers were on the move.

There's General Washington!  They reenacted some the discussions they had that day.
They didn't actually do the crossing because the water was too low.

I drove Ariel to Fionna's house later that night.  It was all Christmassed out!
It was fun going through their Christmas presents.
Last Friday, I was out early walking Stella.
The gym was packed!  Lots of college kids.
Vicky came over to make Oreo gingerbread trains.

They went wild in the basement for a bit.

It started snowing then turned to sleet.
They watched movies in the secret room.
Then she headed out.  Have a great weekend!
