The Last Day of the Summer :-(

So sad.  We woke up Monday feeling the end of  Summer was near.  We did not expect to have the great Summer that we did.  In the end , we only missed 2 Shore weekends, the weekend Aden was born and the weekend of his bris.  That's it!  The weather was amazing and the Greenhouse continued to be entertaining.  Next Summer should be even better once Aden can really enjoy the beach.

Amy's mom cleaned and Amy, Melissa, Aden and I headed out to Johnny's for breakfast.  Yes, the same place we ate at Friday night.  We got an outside table and had fun watching the people waiting to eat.  It was not our normal crowd.

Amy went back and Melissa and I met Robyn and Lee at their beach.  Robyn was Mel's roomate at Penn State.  Lee's parent's were cute.  They brought us some homemade adult beverages and grapes.  The beach was crowded with everyone trying to squeeze in that last beach day.  We stood in the ocean and talked as long as we could but then it was time to...

PACK!!!  It' amazing how much stuff we accumulate over the Summer.

The whole house looked like this.  I'm not sure how we got it all in the car.

We couldn't leave the Shore without one last trip to Ocean City.  It's only 15 minutes away and we were craving junk food.  Of course our first stop was Mack & Manco's Pizza.  This is the place that I brought back pizza from in January after the pool show.  It's all our favorite place. (Dana too).

Get used to it Aden, you will be spending a lot of time here!

They are not going to like this picture, but I think it's cute.

We finished this in about 5 minutes!

They shared the 7th and I got the 8th slice!

Next year Aden, we promise.

A little stroll down the boardwalk.

A stop at Shrivers for candy.

Just a few fudge options.

And salt water taffy.  Salt water taffy is a Jersey Shore thing.  You better have strong teeth!

These are the salt water taffy machines.  They are really old and it's fun to watch them running.

This will be Aden's favorite place one day.

Aden, do you like the Margate beach or the Ocean City beach?

Of course we had to get some hot, fresh, gooey Johnson's Popcorn.  Here's a trick. Order it without the lid and the they overflow it.

Save some for us!

The pizza, fudge, salt water taffy and popcorn wasn't enough, I needed some fudge swirl ice cream!

We headed back to pick up our stuff.  Here is Longport from the Ocean City bridge. Rumor is that they used to be connected.

The house was clean and the car was packed.  It was time to go.  Bye Summer of 2008!
