The Zoo

Last Friday was an exciting day for Ariel and the 6th graders.  They had a trip to the Philadelphia Zoo.  Amy and I chaperoned.  Luckily for me, we had a head start on the bus and were able to stop in the city to get donuts for National Donut Day.  Of course I had to go to Federal Donuts.
I picked up a 1/2 dozen for later and had one for the ride.
We met Ariel and the friends at the zoo.
All the Holland Elementary 6th Graders!

Here we go!
The girls were good at posing.
We saw some cool animals.
Look how small Ariel is!

Ariel has a thing for flamingoes since Aruba.

The giraffe was trying to get into the shot.
Hippos in the water.
Cheerleaders need to always cheer!
The animals get to walk in the air over us.
Hi Mr. Leopard.

Ariel put a onesie on the monkey.

Hey Mr. Bear.
Back to the flamingos.  I'm sparing you from random animal pics.

We ran into her teacher.

Selfies everywhere.

One last group shot.
Hey Mr. Tortoise.
Shopping time.
Matching otters for everyone.
We gathered to head on out.
At home, we dove into the donuts!
That night, Ariel had the 6th grade swim party at the Northampton Country Club.  The kids played games, swam, ate.

Ariel had some drama.  Her bottoms got stuck on the fence and came down.  She was so embarrassed.  The boys laughed and the girls came to her defense and yelled at them.
She left a bit early.  It took her a few days to get over it.
Amy went out for another mahjong night!  Have a great Father's Day Weekend!
